The name should be enough to strike some curiosity. Recently in my Art 100 class, we had to do an assignment called a Post Secret, which for those who may not know, is basically a post card designed by you and you put stuff you would normally not tell anyone on it and design it. In my class, we got to get up and read them, a couple guys started laughing in a friendly way when I got up and read mine. Here is some of the stuff I put on mine:
1. Hippie, tree-hugger, peace lover are just 3 of my common nicknames
2. I proudly admit that I find Mick Jagger to be drop dead gorgeous and that if I were his age I'd marry him in a New York second! I proudly admit, I'm 20 years old and I think Mick Jagger is the sexiest man alive!
3. I have a super huge thing for Italian, Asian and English guys, I guess it's because of the accents
4. I love all things 1960s: peace signs, tie-dye, hippies and more!
5. Ballet and soccer are 2 things I wish I was better at.
6. I'm scared to death of spiders, I'm arachnaphobic
7. I'm afraid to express myself because of what others may think.
My PostSecret has tie-dye all over it and a couple pictures of Mick Jagger not surprisingly. Sorry, but there is something that is very physically attractive about him that I seem to like, there is something about him that sort of turns me on.
This is basically just some of the stuff I put on there. I'm not afraid to admit that someone as young as me finds that someone as old as Mick Jagger drop dead gorgeous, I mean, if I were his age, I'd marry him. I'm not like some women who would marry someone that looks as loving as him for money, totally not me, I'd marry him because he looks sweet, very loving, and looks like he enjoys having a good time. My teacher started laughing in a friendly way when I said that I thought he was cute and still has a nice body, well, he does! He's 67, and has the body of a 30 or 40 year old man? Normally it would be considered disturbing to find someone as old as him cute, but he is!
I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!

TV Shows
Yeah, the title is what it is. TV Shows. Everyone has at least one favorite, if not one, maybe 2, 3 or more. When it comes to favorite TV shows for me, it doesn't surprise a lot to know that quite a few of the shows I watch have at least one thing in common with other things: they either have an Asian actor or actress on it or it takes place in England. I guess it's because this show is awesome and maybe I have a thing for English guys or something. Not surprising, huh?
Here's a picture of one of my favorite TV shows, Top Gear, and I mean Top Gear UK. This one kicks the American version's butt!
Here's a picture of one of my favorite TV shows, Top Gear, and I mean Top Gear UK. This one kicks the American version's butt!
My favorite one is the one in the middle, with the brown hair and blue jean jacket. For those who actually read this and actually watch Top Gear UK, you'll know who these guys are and you'll know who I mean when I say the one I like is Richard Hammond.
Law and Order:SVU
My favorite one is the one on the far right, B.D. Wong. He is so cute. I love his character on the show, Dr. George Huang. He is so good looking, it's sad to know he's gay, but it don't bother me, it doesn't matter what his sexuality is, I still think he's cute, he's still my little Chinese fortune cookie.
Cake Boss
I love the one guy standing up right next to Buddy(one in the middle for those who may not know). The one with his hand on Buddy's shoulder is my favorite, Remy. He's so cute. I love what he does with cakes and everything. I love watching this show because it's a good show and it's so interesting to see what he does with cake. And plus, friends of mine always say I have a thing for Italian guys........
The Sopranos
What's kind of funny and weird at the same time is that my stepdad Greg is Italian and his costume at Halloween last year was the guy in the blue jacket at the far right. Alot of people ask me why I like this show, they say it's violent and almost glorifies mob connections, I tell them it isn't so bad, I personally like the one 3rd from the left with the tan shirt because he's really sexy, even his name is cute, Michael Imperioli, if that's not Italian, come on, some people believe he's not Italian, can u believe that? My other favorite is the one 2nd from the right, with the brown shirt on, he's Stevie Van Zandt, a guitarist with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Trust me, I think this guy is way cuter on The Sopranos than in real life. And my other fave is the one to the far right, his name is Federico Castellucio, and maaaaaaaaaaaaan is he HOT!
When you were little.........
Remember when you were little and you had all these things you wanted to do? You'd probably say "When I get older, I want to..." Well, when I was little, I wanted to so badly be a doctor. I was almost borderline obsessed with wanting to be a doctor. But when I found out that there were many branches in the medical field and that I would have to decide what field to go into and all the school tied to it, I quickly changed my mind. But when I was 14, I wanted to be a forensic scientist like on CSI:NY. I wanted to go to school and be like the people on CSI:NY, I wanted to be like Lindsay or Stella, but when I found out there were no schools for that kind of stuff, once again, I changed my mind. But then again there was something I wanted to go to school for, Video Game Design. At the time, I heard there were no schools for that, so somehow, don't ask me how, I got into Graphic Design. I guess I figured that if I do something like this, it might lead me into Video Game Design or something.
But right now, I'm going for an Associate's degree in Graphic Design. Right now, I'm going to school for that. But I think back on when I was little, and all the things I said I'd do. When I was about 12, I wanted to be a cop, but I heard about the large fatality rate for that, that quickly changed my mind!
What I really want to do is either go into a job making CD covers for famous bands/artists, work for a video game design company helping to make video games, or advertising.

Movies(peliculas for the Spanish speakers)
Yeah, when it comes to movies, I'm not picky. I'll pretty much watch anything, but the only movies I refuse to watch are movies with excessive cussing, where every other word out of the actors mouth is a bad word, movies with graphic sex scenes where it goes on and on, movies with too much gore and bloodshed. I'm not saying I'm a tomboy about this stuff, but then again, I'm not exactly girly-girl. If you know me like my family does, then you'll know it's not too surprising to see that the old Ned Kelly movie from the 1970s is my favorite, it's sort of a weird movie to some, but it tells the story of the Australian outlaw Ned Kelly and plus, Mick Jagger plays him, cute English dude with a cute English accent trying to do a cute Australian accent, definitely very attractive. The kind of movies I like to watch usually have 1 or 2 things in common: they either have an Asian actor in it or an English actor in it. Notice a pattern with me? Here are some of my favorite movies:
Kiss of the Dragon Ned Kelly
Cradle 2 the Grave Freejack
Romeo Must Die Bend It Like Beckham
What a Girl Wants
As you can see, these are just some of the movies I usually end up watching, Notice a pattern with me? Almost everything I watch usually has someone Asian or British in it.

Exploring Your Vision
Weird name, huh? Well, I have an Introduction to Art class here at Gateway and we recently had to do a collage. The teacher says that whatever we put on it, this collage is supposed to draw that towards us. I know it sounds weird, but the collage was fun. If you know me like my family does, you can probably imagine that there were quite a few pics here and there of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. And there eneded up being almost a million pictures of all things 1960s, and apparently in the eyes of the teacher, with the pictures of Jet Li and Lucy Liu I put on there, I desire strength, and also freedom because I happened to have mentioned that my dad and sister aren't exactly the biggest fans of The Beatles, sometimes known as the Fab Four or The Rolling Stones. And along with other pictures, I definitely ended up putting at least 2 or 3 pictures of Mick Jagger on it, 2 when he was younger, 1of him from 2006 on stage, sorry but this guy totally kicks butt on stage compared to Roger Daltrey of The Who. Nothing against any possible fans of The Who out there, but Mick Jagger doesn't do anything dangerous compared to Roger swinging his mic stand around Tarzan-style. Any way, I put all kinds of stuff on it, and prior to this we ahd to do a worksheet to help us figure out what was going on it, me being the moron I sometimes am, the posterboard that was needed for it, I brought the wrong size and another girl had to give me a piece, it was bright green, love that color. Anyway, here are some of the questions that were asked on that worksheet:
My favorite childhood game was: Candyland, Trouble, Chutes and Ladders
My favorite childhood toy was: Legos(still love Legos, I mean, who doesn't?), Barbie
If I had the perfect childhood, I would now: be no different, I'd probably be the same as I am now.
My favorite thing to read is: The Lovely Bones, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Night, All the Alex Cross stories
The music that makes me most happy is: The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Paul McCartney
My favorite movie of all time is: Kiss of the Dragon, Freejack, Ned Kelly, Rocky IV, The Full Monty
My favorite costume was: Geisha Girl. Last year Geisha Girl was my Halloween costume. I didn't go trick or treating, way too old, I just love the thrill of dressing up. I live for it!
If I could travel anywhere, it would be to: China, Japan, England, Italy, Germany, Russia, Australia
If I could live anywhere, it would be: Australia, England, China, Japan, Italy
Sometimes I'm afraid that if I pursue exactly what I want: I'd get made fun of. I'd be the only one with goals like that, and there'd be obstacles in my way.
If I had been encouraged to follow my dreams, I would: Probably have followed them, but like all things, there would be obstacles in the way
While I love to learn foreign languages, I rarely find the time to do it
My ideal of home is:
Name five careers that you would love:

My ideal of home is:
- London, England: it's culturally interesting, the only obstacle I'd face is the currency issue, dollars aren't the currency in England like it is here in the US, quid, pounds, etc is in England. But I'd have a whole bunch of fun learning how to adjust.
- Australia: It would have to be 1 of 3 places along the coast: Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. The reason I'd love to live here is because it has this Wild West feel to, it feels far away and exotic, but feels like a good place to live
- China(Beijing, Hong Kong): The culture is so endlessly fascinating to me, the history, customs, traditions, etc, are all so interesting to me.
- Japan(Tokyo, Okinawa, Osaka, Kyoto): The reason is the same as China. Japanese history, customs, traditions, etc are so interestnig to me.
- Italy(Rome,Venice, Naples, Palermo): The countryside is so beautiful and Italy is an overall beautiful place. Anywhere in Italy is good for me.
Name five careers that you would love:
- Artist

People who inspire me
There are quite a few people who inspire me, some because they believe in a world united, others because of giving peace a chance or trying to live a non violent life.
John Lennon, how he inspires me is all he wanted was a nonviolent life with someone he loved, Yoko Ono, he believed in giving peace a chance and tried to live a nonviolent life. How does he get repaid for that? He gets shot fatally in the back of the head 4 times by a crazed gunman posing as a fan of Lennon's. I heard that his wife Yoko, at least I think she was his wife, not sure, got a photo of the glasses that Lennon wore the night of the murder, they're all bloodstained and cracked, that must be hard on someone who loved him so much, pardon my French, but what the hell did John Lennon ever do to anyone? All he wanted was a nonviolent life and he gets paid back by getting murdered! But basically how he inspires me is I live a life of nonviolence, I've always been under the idea that violence never solves anything and it never does. You see how well that idea worked out, over the course of history, look at all the wars we have gotten into, just because we wouldn't let sleeping dogs lie.
How Martin Luther King Jr. inspires me is all he wanted was for all people from all walks of life to live together peacefully, to nonviolently coexist. But there were some out there who disagreed. How he inspires me is I've always seen people for the good in them, I never see any of the racist crap like their skin color, their race, their ethnicity, where they come from, etc. I see people for who they are, the nice person inside, I mean, we're all the same on the inside, we all bleed the same, we're all the same on the inside, we just come in different packages, that's what makes us unique.

Just for laughs
Have you ever seen something or heard something or remembered something that every time you think about it it still makes you laugh? When it comes to me, I like the Far Side Cartoons. They are twisted cartoons by this cartoonist Gary Larson. He's awesome! They crack me up every time!
All Things 1960s
KISS |
I'd have to say that the 1960s and 1970s are, by far, my 2 favorite decades. All the great music came out of these 2 decades, not to mention alot of important history and everything else.
1960s!
1970s!
I especially love this cartoon!
Aerosmith is the band in this picture, from early 1970s
