Judas Priest is having a concert in Kentucky!

That's right. Judas Priest is only one of the bands scheduled to play at the Louder Than Life Music festival in Louisville, Kentucky on Oct. 4-5. Mostly hard rock, heavy metal and alternative bands will be playing the two day festival. And I'm really thinking about going. I mean, heck tickets for one day are a total of $74.45 for either Sunday or Saturday and two day tickets are $109.50, which still isn't bad. I'm really hoping I have a car before then. Because if so, I can take my sister to see Volbeat, who is A.) one of my sister's newer favorite bands and B.) also playing there. So I definitely take her into consideration as well. Just gotta talk to her to see what she feels about it!!

Bruno Mars tonight!

That's right. Tonight I'm going to see Bruno Mars with my sister. I'm sure she's going to have a heart attack after seeing him. He's her fantasy pop music husband, lol!!! But anyway, if I can, I'll post pix

Really? Now Eric Singer is voicing his opinion on the Kiss trouble

Eric Singer, current drummer and Catman for Kiss, accuses former Kiss members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of hypocrisy
Mostly it was Peter Criss and Ace Frehley stirring up the hornet's nest, calling the current lineup of Kiss "half a cover band." But current drummer Eric Singer has been quiet through this and in a new interview, he states he had not one problem playing alongside Criss or Frehley.

"This is something that I notice that nobody seems to point out. When I came in to play with the makeup [in 2001], Ace was in the band, and had no problem with me playing with Peter’s makeup while he went onstage and made that Kiss money. In fact, he loved it, and he didn’t want Peter back in the band." He told Rolling Stone

"And then go forward the next year, when Ace decided to leave. When we fast forward, all of a sudden they bring Peter back, and you got Tommy Thayer playing guitar wearing the Ace makeup, and all of a sudden, no one minded it was Ace’s makeup design. Peter had no problem, did he?"

"This is just music. It’s not solving the problems of the world. You know, the most important thing is – I tell everyone – ‘Look around you. If you have a kid, look at your kid. Look at her smiling. Look at your family.’ That’s life. That’s what’s really important. Not what some band does"

Is there another solo album for Paul Stanley on the horizon?

The "Starchild" thinks about making another guitar powered solo album
2006 marked the last year that Paul Stanley made a solo album. That year, he released Live to Win, a mostly hard rock and heavy metal album, with tracks such as the slightly haunting "Wake Up Screaming", empowering "Live to Win" and total headbanger song "Bulletproof". He thinks it's time to dive in to making another solo album

When talking with Nashville Scene, he had this to say "I’m not done, so sure. The next one I guarantee will be much more guitar-driven. ‘Live to Win’ was really me wanting to push the envelope of what people wouldn’t expect from me. But my next one would hearken back way more to the first, I’m sure."

The first one, of course, refers to the 1978 solo album, a stunt that Kiss did in 1978, releasing four solo albums all at once

Not sure what to make of this...

The president of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame accuses Paul Stanley of being racist
Recently, Kiss bas been making the rounds in terms of news featuring the R&R HOF. But now, their rhythm guitarist looks to be making some trouble, or is he? The president of the R&R HOF accuses Stanley of being racist

President Joel Peresman talked to Radio.com about the induction ceremony and he praised Gene Simmons speech, calling it "classy, lovely" while saying that Stanley was "borderline racist, not in that speech but in other interviews as well. Talking about why hip hop artists shouldn't be inducted because they don't play instruments. It's like "What are you, kidding?""

Not real sure on what 'Stanley' is being referred to here, but some would assume the greasepaint wearing rock hero pictured here. But Simmons was slightly critical in his opinion on induction of hip hop artists. But two months prior, Gene had this to say "You go on with your bad self and get more disco artists…You’ve got Grandmaster Flash in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Run-D.M.C. in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? You’re killing me! That doesn’t mean those aren’t good artists. But they don’t play guitar. They sample and they talk. Not even sing…They can run their organization any way they’d like, but it ain’t rock! It just isn’t! If you don’t play guitar and you don’t write your own songs, you don’t belong there."
