Daniel Jacob Radcliffe was born on July 23, 1989 in London, England. He will forever be known as Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived.

Early life.
He was the only child born to Alan George Radcliffe, a literary agent and Marcia Jeannine Gresham, a casting agent. At age 10, he made his acting debut on BBC One's 2 part TV movie David Copperfield. When the first Harry Potter movie was released, the actor said attending school was hard, because classmates became hostile. He recieved education through on-set tutors.

Career
In 2000, author J.K. Rowling published her series of books, called Harry Potter, which is about a boy wizard named Harry Potter. And one day, producer David Heyman decided to make them into movies. The hardest part would be trying to find a relatively unknown British actor for this role. The director of the movies, Chris Columbus, happened to be watching David's first acting role on TV and that's how he decided that Radcliffe was perfect for it. In 2001, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone(as it's called in England) debuted. In the US, it went by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Basically the movie follows boy wizard Harry Potter as he begins his magical education at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. When it got to the movie for the 3rd book, the Prisoner of Azkaban, that's when the movies started getting darker and alot less kid friendly. The 4th one, the Goblet of Fire, was definitely not kid friendly, because in the movie someone dies. On the last day of shooting the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, pt. II, everyone, including Radcliffe himself, openly cried. At the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Radcliffe won the award for Best Male Performance and Global Superstar.

Other acting work
After Harry Potter, he started doing other things. Like the movie December Boys, made in 2007. This movie is about 4 Australian orphans. At age 17, to prove he wasn't a kid anymore he starred in the Peter Shaffer play Equus. The first time this play went ahead was back in 1973. He took on the lead role of Alan Strang, a stable boy with an obsession with horses. The play made a lot of money and also Radcliffe had to appear in a scene completely nude. Lately, he starred in a 2011 Broadway play How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, where he played J. Pierrepont Finch.

Wow, he has a nice chest!!!!!!!!!!

Personal life
In 2009, he started speaking out against homophobia by filming public service announcements for The Trevor Project, which promotes awareness of gay teen suicide.
