-Follows the nurses in the emergency room of fictional County General Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and the various issues faced by these nurses and staff and physicians
-Considered the longest running series, winning 23 Emmy Awards

Did You Know?
-The name of the character Ming-Na plays, Jing-Mei, was the same name of the character she played in The Joy Luck Club
-The basketball hoop outside the ambulance bay of the ER was originally George Clooney's idea
-Noah Wyle is the last cast member to leave the show
-The helicopter used for the show really belongs to the University of Chicago Hospital.
-Goran Visnjic's character Luka Kovac is named for his nephew and friend
