Sherlock Holmes
Plot
-Dr. John Watson and Sherlock Holmes manage to close yet another case. They recently caught serial killer and black magic "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood. But one day, when he mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes killing, Holmes and Watson are on the hunt again.
-He now has to contend with his partner's new fiancee and the ignorant head of Scotland Yard. The detective must start investigating clues leading him down a path of muder, deceit and worst of all, black magic, along with a deadly attraction from a temptress named Irene Adler

-When Watson says to Holmes "You know what you're drinking is for eye surgery?", that's a reference to the fact Holmes used cocaine. In the time of Victorian England, cocaine was used as an anesthetic for eye surgery
-Rachel McAdams, Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. did most of their own stunts
-During the scene where Holmes is reenacting a black magic ceremony, there is a quick view of an inn called The Punch Bowl. This is Guy Ritchie's bar in Mayfair, London.
-In the stories, Holmes knew a type of martial art called Baritsu. In the movie, Holmes knows how to perform Wing Chun Kung Fu. Robert Downey Jr. performs this martial art in real life
-Before the beginning of the movie, there are numerous references to Lord Blackwood killing five women. Five is the number of women that historians say Victorian, England-era serial killer Jack the Ripper killed
-The murders and attempted murder all point to Greek elements. Burial crime scene (Earth), drowning (water), immolation (fire) and poison gas (air)
