-When young Daniel Hackett sees his father is gravely ill, he goes to a nearby lake to decide what to do about the situation. His family's land is close to being taken over by a land-hungry baron. When he gets to the lake, he falls asleep in the boat and wakes to find himself in the Wild West. He also fid himself in the company of legendary characters, such as Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan, John Henry and Calamity Jane. Together, they take on the villains from Daniel's "real world" and they stand up to them and their henchmen trying to take over his family's land
