You heard it right. Paul Stanley of KISS fame says he does not need to be associated with the R&R Hall of Fame to be famous. The reason for this is KISS has been overlooked for years about becoming inducted into the famous rock museum, especially when they induct musicians who aren't even rock into it, like Grandmaster Flash. He's not rock, he's RAP!
He told the Huffington Post “Look, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is marketing,” “You’ve got a bunch of faceless people in a back room who trademark a name that sounds very official. Well, if you had thought of it first, you would have been the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
He also added, “I would certainly accept on their behalf because it seems to be a major sore spot for them, but I don’t need the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
