Caddyshack: My #1 Favorite Comedy

I could watch this movie a million times and still laugh hysterically every time!!!! And plus, every time I play pool and get ready to shoot, I hear "Miss it" or "Noonan", because my mom and stepdad know that makes me laugh, thus lose concentration!!!!

Caddyshack
Cast
-Chevy Chase: Ty Webb
-Rodney Dangerfield: Al Czervik
-Ted Knight: Judge Elihu Smails
-Michael O'Keefe: Danny Noonan
-Bill Murray: Carl Spackler
-Sarah Holcomb: Maggie O'Hooligan
-Scott Colomby: Tony D'Annunzio
-Cindy Morgan: Lacey Underall
-Danny Resin: Dr. Beeper
-Henry Wilcoxon: The Bishop
-Brian Doyle-Murray: Lou Loomis
-John F. Barmon Jr.: Spaulding Smails
-Lois: Kibbee: Mrs. Smails

Plot
-There is a very thin plotline to this movie. It's basically about how a gopher is tearing up the course at an elite golf country club.

-Meanwhile, caddy Danny Noonan needs money for college and is told that there is a Caddy scholarship available from Judge Smails, so he starts kissing up to the judge to get it, by being his caddy. Also, there is someone wanting to purchase the club. Al Czervik is a rude, obnoxious real estate man who wants to buy Bushwood Country Club to make it his own.

Did You Know?
-In the golf scene with Bill Murray, Harold Ramis asked him to imagine he was a kid announcing his own fantasy sports moment

-The movie was inspired by Brian Doyle-Murray's, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray's experiences of working as a golf caddy when they were teens
-The song on Al Czervik's car is "We're In The Money"

-In the scene where the Bishop is struck by lightning, the music playing in the background is from Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments
-The character of Carl Spackler is based on a shell-shocked, slightly deranged police officer Harold Ramis knew
-As if it were not obvious, the song that Al turns on in his gofl bag radio is "Any Way You Want It" by Journey

-The club was supposed to be in Nebraska, even though it was filmed in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
-Even though Chevy Chase's character makes references to working in a lumber yard, it was Brian Doyle-Murray's father who worked in a lumber yard

-This was the last movie Ted Knight acted in before he died

-Most of the cast and crew lived near the country club they were using for filming, so it was easy for everyone to show up on time
