Did You Know?
-Danielle Harris sold the clown costume from this movie to a fan
-Many of the scenes in the creepy opening sequence were done thanks to extensive research on the history of Halloween by director Dwight H. Little
-Since Danielle Harris was so little, between filming takes, George P. Wilbur, who plays Michael Myers in this movie, would lift up his mask to remind her that it was just a movie, that he was not going to hurt her
-To create the impression of fall, leaves had to be imported and squash had to be painted like pumpkins
-The Vincent Drugstore was the same one used in Stephen King's The Stand. It was also seen five years later in The Sandlot, as the store that "Smalls" goes to the sandlot for the first time.
-Mike Lookinland, who played Bobby Brady on The Brady Bunch, was a production assistant while his wife Kelly Lookinland played the dead waitress
-George P. Wilbur, who plays Michael Myers in this movie, wore hockey pads under his costume to give himself a more imposing figure. Don Shanks, who plays Michael in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, did not need padding as he was already big enough
-This is actress Danielle Harris' first movie
-George P. Wilbur is the third tallest actor to play Michael Myers. He is 6'2 1/2''
