Righteous Kill

Righteous Kill
-2008 crime thriller
Did you Know?

Plot
-Police psychologists review recordings of a man(De Niro) who states his name as Det. David Fisk, the "Poetry Boy" killer. The Poetry Boy earned the moniker for his MO of murdering criminals and leaving short poems with thier bodies. Fisk reveals that he looks up to his partner of almost 30 years, Tom Cowan(Pacino) and considers him a role model of how a cop should be. Pacino's character is known by the nickname "Rooster" and De Niro's character is known as "Turk".

-These recordings provide a story and the film opens with victim #10, a drug dealer named Robert "Rambo" Brady(Rob Dyrdek). Turk and Rooster investigate the murder with the less experienced Det. Corelli(Carla Gugino), Perez(John Leguizamo) and Riley(Donnie Wahlberg). When they find a poem on the body,  they link it to the Poetry Boy

-As Poetry Boy murders acquitted rapist Jonathan Van Luytens and Father Connell, a Catholic priest and child molester(kids including Poetry Boy himself), stress builds between Turk, Corelli and Perez. Turk is now living with Corelli, who happens to be Perez's ex-girlfriend. Poetry Boy assaults an attempted 14th victim, Russian mobster Yevgeny Mugalat, but when he is found to be alive, he attacks Perez and Corelli. Perez and Riley suspect Turk of being Poetry Boy due to his markmanship skills and psych evaluations, so they arrange a secretly supervised meeting between Turk and a drug dealer, Marcus "Spider" Smith(Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson). Turk proves his innocence during an encounter with the drug dealer as he has the "wrong" gun and humiliating but obviously wrong poem. After Perez and Riley leave the scene, Rooster kills Spider. During this, Rooster accidentally drops his diary

-Turk stumbles upon and reads Rooster's diary, where he claims Spider as victim #14. Rooster puts Turk in front of a video camera and forces him to read the journal. At this point, it's known and realized that the recordings from the film's beginning and the narration merely set up Turk as bait and Rooster is the Poetry Boy. Turk's name is actually Tom Cowan and Rooster's name David Fisk. It turns out that Rooster lost his faith in justice when Turk, an otherwise "righteous" cop, planted a gun at the house of acquitted child molester Charles Randall(Frank John Hughes), convicting him. This leads him to taking justice into his own hands.

-When Turk finishes, he chases Rooster to a construction site. Rooster fires to convince Turk to report that the Poetry Boy is assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and fleeing, but Turk resists. When Rooster takes aim at Turk, Turk fires, striking Rooster in chest. When he calls for an ambulance, Rooster begs him to withdraw the ambulance. This allows Rooster to bleed to death.

  • Keeping Up Appearances

This is one of my mom's favorite shows!!!

    Keeping Up Appearances
-British sitcom written by Roy Clark for BBC
-Centered on the life of an eccentric, social thinking snob Hyacinth Bucket(who insists on her name being pronounced Boquet), the show portrays a social hierarchy-ruled British life
-It jokes around with a small obsessive world where a determined snobbish middle class woman desparately looks for opportunities to put herself into a better position on the social ladder.
-The show hinges on the fact that no one can escape the social class one is born into in England
-Stars Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth, the pompous and self centered woman obsessed by perfection
-Her husband is Richard Bucket, a calm, tolerant and long suffering man played by Clive Swift
-Her neighbour is played by Josephine Tewson. She plays the neighbor who lives with Hyacnith's brother, played by David Griffin.

    Plot Summary
-Hyacinth Bucket(Patricia Routledge), who insists on her name being pronounced Boquet, is a snob with aspirations of climbing the social ladder. She passes her time visiting stately homes, hosting "executive style" candlelight dinners, bragging off her white slimline phone with auto redial and maintaining her woodblock floor, wallpaper and status in the community.
-Her aim in life is to impress neighbors, friends and important people. When she answers the phone, she greets with "The Boquet residence, lady of the house speaking". She receives calls asking for Chinese take away, causing her great frustration. Always bothering her best efforts are her underclass sisters Daisy(Judy Cornwell) and Rose(Shirley Stelfox and Mary Millar), and Daisy's husband Onslow(Geoffrey Hughes). This 3-som along with Hyacinth's senile dad, are always turning up and embarassing her.

-These social aspirations of hers cause life to be very difficult for those around her, such as her husband Richard(Clive Swift). Most people dislike or are afraid of her to the point of running or hiding when they see her or hear her. The only one she is not ashamed of is her wealthy sister Violet(Anna Dawson). Hyacinth often brags about her sister Violet's home- a luxury bungalow, while trying to keep the secret of Violet's cross dresing husband Bruce a secret.
