Van Halen History

35 years ago today, hard rock band Van Halen released their debut album, Van Halen, in 1978
These guys pretty much redefined rock, from Eddie Van Halen's lightning-fast guitar riffs to David Lee Roth's provocative stage theatrics. In this year, the opening track, "Runnin' with the Devil" came blasting out of every stereo around. As time went on, these guys kept making rocking hit after hit, from their hard rock take on The Kinks' "You Really Got Me" to "Eruption" and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love", which has set the standard for every Van Halen song
