Going Back in Time

Do you ever wonder about if you could go back in time, would you? I always wonder what it would be like to go back in time to see some of the most influential points in history unfold before your eyes. Because as I look at history on the internet compared to what I learned in school, I discovered that what I learned in school compared to what I read on the internet, it's different: the teachers obviously didn't want us to know alot about history. Which really, pardon my French, really pisses me off! I wanted to learn about people like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, but instead, in school, they only give a brief mentioning to. I think "Wow, if that's not discriminatory, IDK what is."

Here are some of the things I would like to go back in time to see.

-A Beatles concert. I would love to see them perform live before they broke up

-"I Have a Dream" speech. I would have loved to have been there and listen to Dr. King give the famous speech. Although, the part about living united is not exactly true. Even today, some whites and some blacks seem to hate each other. I hate racism!

-Early Rolling Stones concert. Maybe at Hyde Park or in one of those nightclubs, or even one of their tours.

-See England before the bombing in the 1940s. I would just love to see what it looked like before the Germans nearly bombed London out of existence. I can't imagine what it was like to grow up amidst the bombing!

-Woodstock. What can I say? I'm a hippie at heart!

If This Was My Last Blog Post...

Do you ever wonder about if this could be your last blog post? What would you say? Write? Blog about? If this were to be my last blog post, I would just do it like I always do, brag about having the most dysfunctional family in the world, about having a sister who dreams of marrying either Derek Jeter from the New York Yankees or actor Johnny Depp or how she loves squirrels, about how my stepdad is convinced he is like Elvis, "The King", about how my mom scares the living daylights out of me when she gets angry and all the random things we think, say, and do in my house or about how I think Mick Jagger is a cool musician and how I get jokes when I say that I think Paul Stanley is still hot when he wears black spandex while performing with Kiss.

I would just blog about stuff like I normally do. I would not look at it as being the last thing on Earth. It's just like the principle of what would you do if this was your last day on Earth. I would live every day of my life just as I normally do. I'd go to school, come home, look for a job and just enjoy life with my family. And back to the subject of blogging, I'd do it anything. I'd blog about some actor or famous guy I think is cute, some musician I have the hots for, some TV show I discovered that I now like, some comedian, actress, or something interesting to me in general, or even music history

Favorite Sports Team

Anyone who actually reads these posts I do will probably know by now that my all time fave team is the Arsenal Gunners from London. But in general, I like all the teams in the Premier League from England. I like the other teams, such as West Ham United, Manchester City and Manchester United, Sunderland, etc. As long as their an English soccer (football) team, I'll watch them. I even made sure to use the right word, lol. Because I understand that in European countries, soccer is actually football. But when it comes to American sports, I'm a little big on baseball, but it's mainly soccer that I stick to. And what's actually cool is that I now own an Arsenal t-shirt. I was supposed to get it for Christmas, but instead get it for my birthday.

For some reason, I just love soccer. My 2 favorite leagues are the Serie A league in Italy and the Premier League in England. It's such a high energy sport that it's hard to not pay attention to it. I just love it. And if I ever get the chance to visit London, I'm definitely going to make sure I go to an authentic football game in London or somewhere in England; that will just make my little visit to the UK 20x better!!

If I Had 3 Wishes...

Do you ever just stop and wonder about if someone granted you 3 wishes, what would you do? I wonder that close to all the time. Anymore, I gotta have something worth hoping for, otherwise my mind is occupied by trying to get a job. If a genie or someone granted me 3 wishes, here are some of the things I'd wish for:

-I could have enough money to pay off school and help out family
-Meet someone famous

Lucy Liu. She's one of my biggest fave actresses ever!

-Go to a rock concert. I've never been to one before. And if for who, either Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Kiss or Aerosmith

Random Thought: Paul Stanley is Still Sexy!!

IDK how everyone else feels, but I'm probably one of the few or one of the only chicks that thinks Paul Stanley from Kiss is still sexy. What's pathetic? I'm a young fan of Kiss and I'm one of the few people who thinks that Stanley is in good shape for his age, unlike other musicians who let themselves go. This guy manages to stay in good shape and still look darn sexy in those black spandex!

It's truly amazing what I listen to. I just started listening to these guys one day because I heard a song of theirs on the radio, I Love It Loud, and I've been hooked on their music ever since

IDK why, but I've been listening to these guys like crazy lately. All through class Thursday, I was jamming out to their "Best of Both Worlds" album, which has songs written and done by both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar. I'll admit that David Lee Roth was a good entertainer, but he had a sort of Steven Tyler wanna-be air about him. He tried to be as wild and nuts on stage as Tyler would. But then Hagar comes along, he's more calm, into the music, and not jumping around on the stage like a rabid monkey on speed

Is It My Imagination or Is Reality TV Taking Over the TV?

I've noticed that over the years, more and more reality shows have begun appearing on TV. And in the last few years, another one was added: Jersey Shore, which depicts the life and times of 8-10 New Jersey "Italians" living in a house by the ocean in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. From the way I hear it, this show is highly controversial because it exhibits several Italian stereotypes, from the fact that people think all Italians have dark features, to the flirtatious exotic ladies, to the 'Italian Stallion' stereotype of guys: big, muscular, Sylvester Stallone-like bodies. And FYI, these kids are not from New Jersey, most of them are from New York, a couple are from Rhode Island, etc.

IDK why people think reality shows are all that. There are only a few here and there that are good. If you really want to watch a good show from New Jersey, I'd recommend Cake Boss. It's about an Italian family run bakery in Hoboken. And plus, the only other show out of Jersey I like is The Sopranos.

My personal opinion on reality Tv is that it's taking over the TV. Anymore, you see ads for Survivor, on some remote island, or those "Real Housewives Of...". I'd love for them to do a "Real Housewives of Cincinnati". I'd pay to see that, hahahahahahahahaha. Or "Survivor: Cincinnati" or "Survivor: Antarctic". That would be funny, lol. My stepdad came up with the idea about the Arctic. As you can see and read, my family and me all have odd minds, lol. Those "Real Housewives" shows annoy me very highly. Because you have these women who look like they've seen more knives than Benihana and have probably been hit with more lasers than the Starship Enterprise. They all fight and complain, which I think is just for show. And Jersey Shore, ok, don't even get me started. That 'Snooki' chick is NOT ITALIAN! She is freakin' South American! The only reason people think she is Italian is because of her dark features and the fact that she is adopted by an Italian couple with the name Polizzi. Alot of people, including Italians, will say that not all Italians have dark features. Some Italian people have blue eyes, blonde hair, or green eyes. Like Italian actors Raoul Bova or Federico Castellucio, they're both Italian born and they have green and blue eyes.
