-Sax player Cannonball Aderley is born in Tampa, Flor.

1941
-Bassist Les Braid of Swinging Blue Jeans is born in Liverpool, England
-Signe Anderson is born in Seattle. She was the original lead vocalist for Jefferson Airplane before Grace Slick came along

1942
-Bassist Lee Dorman of Iron Butterfly is born in St. Louis













1960
-Mitch Dorge, drummer with Crash Test Dummies, is born

1962
-An early Beatles press call does not go too well. After meeting the band members, The Daily Mirror's Peter Jones decides they are a nothing group

-The Rolling Stones play at the Great Pop Prom at London's Royal Albert Hall
