-Theo Fitzgerald faked his death and assumed a new identity-Jericho, a shadowy underworld figure who has been working in some not so pleasurable environs. His actual plan is to destroy the criminal empire his corrupt father established, preferably before anyone else does it.
-He has his suspicions that a woman, named Temple Cross, who worked as a personal driver for the mysterious Nine Circles Club in New York, is trying to destroy him as well as the empire. Temple, however, has a personal stake in this. "Jericho" has ruined her life for all and eternity. She wants his head on a silver platter. All the time she's been planning to kill him with all the revenge in her heart, the second she's alone with him, she realizes her assumptions were wrong. He doesn't seem like a barbaric shadow figure, rather a gentlemanly man with an aura of danger around him.
