Ready Steady Go!
-One of the first rock/pop music TV shows in the UK.
-Created by Elkan Allan
-Gained it's highest ratings on March 20, 1964 when The Beatles were being interviewed and performed their songs "It Won't Be Long" "You Can't Do That" and "Can't Buy Me Love".
-The last episode aired on Dec. 23, 1966
Description
-The show premiered on Friday nights with the opening line "The weekend starts here!" Then later was replaced by The Surfari's 'Wipe Out' and later on Manfred Mann's 5-4-3-2-1
-Was considered more youth oriented than it's rival, Top of the Pops
-Was noted for allowing artists to perform the full version of their songs rather than short versions allowed by other shows. Despite it's popularity in the UK, it was never debuted in the US
-The show had a popular following among the British mod youth in the 1960s, or aka Swinging London
-In 1966, the time known as the 'beat boom' was fading, the show was cancelled. It's disappearance at the height of it's popularity made it famous. Years later, British musician Dave Clark bought the rights to the surviving recordings of the show.

I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!
