As the title suggests, this is an autobiography of Peter Criss, the former drummer, the "Catman" of Kiss. It was a really good book and luckily for my sister, she now knows what to get me for Christmas, lol
While reading it, I learned a lot of stuff I didn't know about him. Here are some of them
He was abused by the nuns at his Catholic school
-While attending Transfiguration, his Catholic school, he was abused. From things such as refusal to go to the bathroom, so he was made to sit in his own waste, or being locked in a closet for hours at a time or coming home to an extremely abusive grandmother who would beat him senseless, until he bled from almost every hole in his body, including his private parts
Or, that he's a breast cancer survivor
-In 2008, his wife Gigi discovered she had cancer in her ovaries. This made him paranoid about lumps and anything to do with cancer. So he did a self inspection of every inch of his body, because he said that after years of wearing spandex, you immediately know what doesn't belong there when he found a lump on his chest, which turned out to be cancerous. And that he did an ad encouraging men to get checked for breast cancer because, up until then, he believed men couldn't get breast cancer
Or that he and Ace pulled a VERY cruel prank on one of his bandmates
-No one, except Paul Stanley, was aware that Gene Simmons' mother was a concentration camp survivor. Ace, out of a habit he had, dressed up as a Nazi officer and had even enlisted Peter's help in his little prank. They both, dressed as Nazis, did the worst thing imaginable: THEY KNOCKED ON GENE'S DOOR! When he opened it, he was utterly appalled by what he saw. But not before Peter said in a mock German accent "Where are your papers otherwise we'll throw your Jewish a-- into the ovens!" He closed the door, obviously very hurt and when they were back in their room, a clearly angry Paul Stanley burst in, saying "What the f--- is wrong with you? Are you insane? Don't you know his grandmother died in the f---ing ovens?" That's when he told Peter and Ace about Gene telling him that his mother was a Nazi camp survivor, of Auschwitz. How her own grandmother had died in the gas chamber and her own mother died with her so they wouldn't be alone
I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!

Kelly Osbourne Has a Seizure and Lands in Hospital
Kelly Osbourne
I hope she does all right :)
While filming an episode of her show Fashion Police, Kelly Osbourne was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a massive seizure. TMZ says it happened just before noon on the show's set in L.A. and when Kelly told fellow host Melissa Rivers "I don't feel good", she fell out of her chair. Rivers and an emergency responder attending the show tended to her and she came around in a few minutes. When she was taken to the hospital, her mother Sharon was seen there, watching over her. And it's said she'll stay the night for observation. And in terms of medical scares, it's been tough in the Osbourne camp, with Sharon being diagnosed with breast cancer and Kelly's brother Jack being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year

Good News in the World of Rock Music
Peter Criss is to receive the American Cancer Society's Humanitarian of the Year Award!
Former Kiss drummer Peter Criss is up front about his battle with breast cancer, yes guys can get this too! He has been working like a dog over the past few years to Educate guys about the risks and warning signs of this disease, that was only thought to have afflicted women
And because of his hard work, he is the recipient of the American Cancer Society's Humanitarian of the Year Award. He will receive the honor on March 9, at the ACS's Hope Lounge Gala, at the Encore Club in Freehold, N.J.
He spoke with UCR (Ultimate Classic Rock) in October 2011 about it, which each year, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “Look out for bumps and pain, a kind of pain where you just know — this is a kind of pain I’ve never had before,” he recalled. “I’ve had cysts and I remember them and I remember the doctor taking them out. This was different, it hurt like hell, it got bigger as I screwed around with it. I don’t know why, of all things, cause men just don’t think of breast cancer, we just don’t, but I swear, buddy I just knew that breast cancer had hit me for some reason.”
He was lucky enough to get treatment to stop it dead in its tracks before it spread. He had this to say about it: “The minute you feel something, I don’t care if it’s under your arm or your leg or your testicles or behind your ear. You must tell someone or go to your doctor immediately,” he stressed. “Just sitting around, you won’t be here next year.”

Tattoos
It seems like most people I know have tattoos and most of them I graduated with from high school and people in my family. It seems like the people I went to school with, after they graduated, they got tattoos and changed. My sister is officially ink'd, as she likes to call it. I'm actually thinking about getting one, but right now, I want to take care of a few things at home before I get one and I want to get a part time job to pay for it. The trouble will be deciding what to get, because I don't want to be like some people who get the logo for their fave musician tattooed on them or get a tattoo I'll regret. I want to get something that represents me.
Here are some of the possible ideas:
Outline of the island of Ireland with Ireland on a band across it and the Irish flag as the design. Basically have the outline of the island of Ireland with the design of the flag on it and across it on a white band say Eire or Ireland. I'm Irish in heritage, so it explains alot.....

Another idea for possible tattoo is something Asian, to reflect the interest I have in that culture. A puzzle I recently finished was from this famous tattoo artist named Ed Hardy, who in reality is a French dude named Christian Audigier. Anyway, the puzzle is of a Geisha girl.
Basically, I would get the Geisha Girl and that's it, right on my leg. I wouldn't get the dragons or the flowers or the blue and yellow background, just the geisha girl.
Or just some Chinese inscriptions for:
Love
Family
Strength
Peace
Faith
Hope
Courage
Serenity
Tranquility
Maybe all these on my leg so that way I can see it. Because tattoos are permanent, so why get a tattoo you will regret?
And maybe on the ribbon have it say Hope and Strength, or Courage and Strength, or for something really funny, have it say "I kicked breast cancer's a--!" but since I have never suffered breast cancer, that won't work. So if I get this one, I'm thinking Hope and Strength because breast cancer runs in my family

Facebook for Hire!
Yeah, the title should attract attention. While I was in class on Tuesday looking at different social networking sites, the teacher for the class informed us that some employers hire people based on what is on their Facebook account. Personally, this is ridiculous, no employer should hire someone based on what is on their Facebook account. What an employer should hire someone because of is how they work with others, their qualifications or something else, not a Facebook account. I mean, I have an account and if an employer were to look at mine, they'd see that I'm a music lover, because most of the stuff on my Facebook page have to do with music, like announcements for Rihanna going on tour, U2 going on tour, Paul McCartney going on tour, the Beatles releasing an album, etc. I personally think it's stupid that some employers would hire you because of what is on a social networking site that you use. Because when we looked at Facebook accounts, I'm pretty sure everyone in the world has seen mine and they pretty much know that I'm a music lover because of all the music tour announcements, album releases, etc. But I just think it's stupid that some people would do that, it's almost an invasion of privacy, I mean, on Facebook, you can say just about anything and that some people who hire would look at one's account and see something like someone talking about partying or something, that might make the person hiring a little hesitant to hire.
What I think an employer SHOULD look at is what that person can bring to the table, their skills, if they can work well with others, their qualifications, what they can do, their interests or something, my dad has a friend who is a Graphic Designer and he told me he thought that it was ridiculous that some people hire based on what one has on a social networking site. He said that most should hire because of skills/qualifications. And if Denise reads this, I'm totally with her on the whole Facebook issue, no employer should hire a person based on what is on a social site like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.
Personally, If I'm going to look for a job, I'm just going to keep the same Facebook account that I currently have, if you ever see mine, there is never usually anything dirty on it, most of the stuff on my wall is stuff pertaining to the Breast Cancer Foundation, I'm a strong believer in there being a cure for breast cancer, it runs in my family, happy joy!, Shriner's Hospital is on my wall, I believe in kids getting miracles, a-lot of the stuff on my wall is charity and good stuff and music tour dates, music album releases, musician announcements, etc and just friends talking, but unfortunately, most of the friends I have on there like to talk dirty and I usually tell them I don't talk like that and they just keep on doing it!
Just thought I'd make my text green because of the rapidly approaching Christmas holidays. And thank the Good Lord I have my Christmas shopping done. I swear, I never knew shopping for family would be so hard, I have my sister taken care of, I bought her a blanket of this cartoon character she likes, called Invader Zim, and a book about this athlete she likes, Apolo Ohno, I bought my dad a movie,The Expendables, he loves all those exploding action movies, I bought my mom a book about the topic of Organized Crime, she finds in interesting, I bought my step-father a set of model race cars, he's a major fan of all those car races, like the Le Mans, Indy 500, etc. So hopefully, they love their gifts, I care about family and just wanted to give them something they like.
