The title stems from an old Rod Stewart song. This is definitely one song I don't think anyone expected me to like or love, but I do. That other song Hot Legs cracks me up, because Rod looks a little like Mick Jagger in the video, lol. Night at the Theatre
I was inspired by another blogger's post about her favorite movies. So I thought maybe I would do a post about my favorite movies. I have alot, so I'm a bit of a movie buff I guess. Here are some of my favorites:
Rocky. A 4th rate boxer named Rocky Balboa(Sylvester Stallone) goes for the title of World Heavyweight Boxing Champion by going up against an undefeated champ named Apollo Creed(Carl Weathers)
Rambo. A retired Vietnam Vet named John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is called back in to Army duty when he is asked to rescue a group of Christian missionaries in Burma
Freejack. A race car driver named Alex Furlong (Emilio Estevez) is brought in to the future as a recipient of a mind transplant for a business man named Ian McCandless (Anthony Hopkins), but has to escape a soldier McCandless has sent, a persistent mercenary named Victor Vacendak (Mick Jagger) who lives by a code of honor
The Full Monty. 6 English steel mill workers decide to become strippers like the Chippendales.
Monty Python and The Holy Grail. A parody of the story of King Arthur, King Arthur(Graham Chapman) and his squire Patsy (Terry Gilliam) are out to search for the Holy Grail
Kiss of the Dragon. A Chinese government agent named Liu Jian (Jet Li) is in Paris to bust a mob boss, but gets accused of the murder and has to work with a prostitute named Jessica (Bridget Fonda) to help clear his name
Love Actually. Centers around the love lives of 8 people during the frantic Christmas season in London, England
Across the Universe. Hoping to find his father in America, a Liverpool dockworker named Jude (Jim Sturgess) enlists in the Merchant Navy and jumps ship in New Jersey. All while he starts to fall for a girl named Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood)
Ned Kelly. Tells the story of 19th century Irish Australian outlaw Ned Kelly
The Replacement Killers. Chow Yun-fat plays John Lee, a hit man for the Chinese Triads. When one day he refuses to carry out a hit because it is on a child, the Triads send killers after him.
The Corruptor. Chow Yun-fat plays Nick Chen, head of the NYPD's Asian Gang Unit. One day he gets a new partner named Danny Wallace (Mark Wahlberg) and he has to show him the ropes of being in the Asian Gang Unit
Bulletproof Monk. A Tibetan monk escapes from 1943 into the future, New York in 2003. He is looking for the next person to pass his magic scroll onto. This scroll enables the person to be youthful and immune to injury
The Warrior's Way. A Japanese warrior named Yang (Jang Dong Gun) is ordered to kill the last member of an enemy clan-- a baby. When he refuses, he takes the child and flees to a town in the American West.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. A power hungry warlord named Han(Jet Li) is attempting to control the world with the power of the 5 elements-- water, metal, wood, earth, fire. So he seeks out a witch who holds the power to immortality
Romeo Must Die. A Chinese police officer named Han Sing(Jet Li) escapes prison in Beijing and flees to America to avenge his brother's death and while there, starts to fall in love with a girl named Trish O'Day(Aaliyah)
Goodfellas. Chronicles the story of how Henry Hill became a mobster
Christmas Vacation. Chevy Chase plays Clark Griswold, who just wants to have a perfect Christmas, until his inlaws and family and his wife Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo)'s inlaws show up, and it goes downhill after that.
Despicable Me. Gru (Steve Carrell) is a supervillain operating out of a suburban home with his partner Dr. Nefarious (Russell Brand) and a bunch of cute little yellow minions
The Karate Kid. When his mom's job has her relocating to Beijing, Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) moves wit her and is bullied by the school's resident martial arts expert Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) who is close to Mei Ying (Wenwen Han) who Dre starts to develop a crush on. But he learns martial arts from the building's maintenance man named Mr. Han (Jackie Chan)
Mulan. A Chinese maiden named Fa Mulan(Ming-Na) goes into the Chinese Imperial Army and ends up becoming a hero by saving China from the Huns
What a Girl Wants. A freepsirited girl named Daphne (Amanda Bynes) wonders who her father is, and one day while on the Internet, she sees him and discovers he's a wealthy British politician running for office, so she goes off to London to find him.
Dirty Dancing. 17 year old Frances 'Baby' Houseman (Jennifer Grey) is vacationing with her family at Kellerman's, a fictional resort in the Catskills. There she takes dancing lessons from Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), who is the resident dance instructor.
My Cousin Vinny. 2 college students named Bill Gambini (Ralph Maccio) and his friend Stan Rothstein( Mitchell Whitfield) are driving through Alabama and somehow get accused of murder. So Bill has to call his cousin Vinny (Joe Pesci) a leather clad Brooklyn lawyer in to defend them, and with him comes his girlfriend Mona Lisa Vito (Marisa Tomei), who happens to know about cars which saves the 2 boys at the end
Carrie. A bullied teen's secret telekinetic powers are unleashed at the prom when pig blood is dumped on her.
Phantasm. 24 year old Jody Pearson is assigned to look after his 13 year old brother Mike after their parents die in a car crash. They are confused by the mysterious deaths of the citizens of their town. Both of them including their friend Reggie, who is an ice cream vendor all start to suspect that the local mortician who they call The Tall Man was responsible for the deaths.
Rocky IV. Rocky Balboa has to go up against a monster of a boxer, this one named Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren).
Lock Up. A skilled mechanic and pro footballer named Frank Leone (Sylvester Stallone) is nearing the end of his sentence in a low security prison. There the warden, named Drumgoole (Donald Sutherland) is out to make life miserable for Leone, because he escaped on Drumgoole's watch.
Tango and Cash. Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone) is a straight laced cop from L.A. who is accustomed to neat 3 piece suits. Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) is a cop from L.A. who goes to work with long hair, jeans and gymshoes. When the 2 cops are both set up for murder, they must work together to clear their names.
First Blood. A Vietnam vet named John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is home from the war and when he enters the small, fictional town of Hope, with his long hair and military style of dress, he is immediately spotted by the town's paranoid sheriff Will Teasel (Brian Dennehy). The sheriff drives him out but Rambo comes back. He is arrested and taken to the basement where he is given a fire hose shower and is brutalized, while having flashbacks.

Carrie. A bullied teen's secret telekinetic powers are unleashed at the prom when pig blood is dumped on her.
Phantasm. 24 year old Jody Pearson is assigned to look after his 13 year old brother Mike after their parents die in a car crash. They are confused by the mysterious deaths of the citizens of their town. Both of them including their friend Reggie, who is an ice cream vendor all start to suspect that the local mortician who they call The Tall Man was responsible for the deaths.
Rocky IV. Rocky Balboa has to go up against a monster of a boxer, this one named Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren).
Lock Up. A skilled mechanic and pro footballer named Frank Leone (Sylvester Stallone) is nearing the end of his sentence in a low security prison. There the warden, named Drumgoole (Donald Sutherland) is out to make life miserable for Leone, because he escaped on Drumgoole's watch.

Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) is a cop from L.A. who goes to work with long hair, jeans and gymshoes. When the 2 cops are both set up for murder, they must work together to clear their names.
