Plot
-This violent Hong Kong action movie tells the story of an assassin named Jeffrey Chow who takes one last job so he can retire to take care of his girlfriend Jennie. His employers betray him, so he hesitantly joins forces with Insp. Lee, the cop chasing him. Together, they face the wrath of the gangsters after him

Did You Know?
-The scene where Jeff beats up Jennie's would-be attackers in the alley was tough for Chow Yun-fat, who does not like violence. Chow also got hurt, when filming the church shootout. A piece of plaster cut his face, narrowly missing his eye by an inch. During the part where Jeff and Li talk, you can see the cut on Chow's face

-The film did not do good in Hong Kong because it was said that it had strange references to the Tianenmen Square massacre
-The statue in the police station (shown before Li's interrogation by his bosses after the tram shootout) is of General Kwan, a brave soldier from years ago
