Daniel Craig says that while filming Casino Royale, he came up with the idea behind No Time to Die

Daniel Craig is the newest actor to play the role of "license to kill" 007, James Bond. While filming his initial outing as Bond, he came up with the idea of No Time to Die, which would be his final outing as 007.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Daniel Craig stated that the idea for his final outing as James Bond, No Time to Die, came to him while filming his first film as James Bond, Casino Royale. Initially, he stated Spectre would be his final outing as 007. "I finished that movie with a broken leg. I'm not moaning about that; it's just the way it was. I had to question myself: Was I physically capable of doing [another one], or did I physically want to do another one? Because that phone call to your wife saying "I've broken my leg" is not pleasant. But I had a break. It was five years, and we had an idea, an idea that I'd had on Casino Royale. I spoke to Barbara [Broccoli, producer] about it, and she said 'Yeah, go for it.' We expanded that idea, and that became the plot or became at least what we were aiming for, and I'm very, very happy we did."

No Time to Die sees Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ana De Armas entering the world of 007. Rami Malek plays the villain Safin, Lea Seydoux reprises her role as Madeleine Swann, Lashana Lynch of Captain Marvel fame plays the role of 00 agent Nomi. Ana De Armas plays a character named Paloma while Jeffrey Wright reprises his role as CIA agent Felix Leighter and Christoph Waltz reprises his role as Ernest Stavro Blofeld
