Yoshi's Island for Gameboy Advance

My fave handheld game ever!!!!

Yoshi's Island

Gameplay
-The game is 1 dimensional, u know, 1 view. It was the late 1990s and early 2000, technology of today was not here yet. The details retain their cute, adorable handdrawn appearance throughout the entire game. This would be perfect for little kids because there is no violence in it, just cute lil animals

-The basic premise of the game was to escort Baby Mario through the various worlds of Yoshi's Island and pass him off to the next Yoshi as a sort of relay system
Get the 1UP to get an extra life

-If Yoshi is hit by an enemy, Mario will fall of Yoshi's back, and any stars you've collected on the way will disappear as it will be used in a countdown clock until Baby Bowser's minions snatch up Mario
The floating cloud balloons often hold special items, such as coins, stars, etc
-The only way to safely get Mario back is to pop his bubble
-Along the way, the player will collect stars to increase the timer to 30
-And there are circumstances in each level that will cause Yoshi to lose life no matter what, such as touching spikes, falling into lava, falling into a bottomless pit, etc
-In this game, Yoshi can perform a flutter jump that allows him to reach higher levels. He can also perform a butt stomp to break crates and break through weak floors. Another ability he has is to snatch enemies with his tongue and turn them into eggs to be used like a weapon. He can collect up to 6 eggs at once. And in certain levels, he can collect eggs that have special powers. A flashing purple egg will give him a mystery gift, while a red egg will give him coins. A large egg will shatter the earth, destroying nearby enemies
This is the Flutter Jump. It allows Yoshi to reach new areas
Plot
-It starts out with a stork carrying two babies, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, identified by their red and green hats. Suddenly, the evil Magikoopa Kamek swoops out of the sky and stuns the bird and tries to steal the babies. He steals Baby Luigi, while Baby Mario falls to safety on a tropical island in the middle of the sea, known as Yoshi's Island, home to all the cute little colored Yoshis. He falls onto the back of the main green Yoshi, who was out for a walk. The Yoshi crew then decide to do a relay system fo using each Yoshi to navigate the various environments of the 6 worlds to rescue the stork and Baby Luigi from Baby Bowser and Kamek. When Yoshi finally reaches Bowser's Castle, he demands that he hand over Baby Luigi. Baby Bowser wakes up and tries to ride Yoshi as Mario is doing. Kamek then uses magic to enlarg Bowser and a fight ensues, with the castle being destroyed. Baby Bowser is then returned to normal size and is whisked off by Kamek, flying towards the moon, vowing to return. The stork takes off, with both babies in tow, towards the Mushroom Kingdom, where their parents live. At dawn, the parents wake up to find 2 infants on their doorstep
The "Y" flags mark the worlds you've conquered

Go here with a key to get extras

This is how you upload your file

Level: Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy

Down the pipe to a new area

The guys shooting water will knock you off

This floating box will often hold stars to extend your timer

Kingdom Hearts

One of my favorite video games EVER!!!!!
Kingdom Hearts
-A series of action role playing games developed and published by Square Enix.
-It's a collaboration between Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios.
-Crossover of various Disney settings based in a universe made specifically for the series.
-Includes many Disney characters and their voice actors, such as Haley Joel-Osment, David Gallagher, and Hayden Panettiere
-Characters from the Final Fantasy games also make appearances and they interact along with the Disney characters with the main character. The series centers on the main player, Sora and his search for his friends Kairi and Riku. As if it was not painfully obvious, this game has a lot of Japanese anime/manga aspects to it
Deep Jungle level, where you meet Tarzan, Jane, and her bodyguard, Clayton
Story
-The first game shows how Sora is separated from his friends Riku and Kairi in their world, Destiny Islands. It is being invaded by creatures known as the Heartless. During the invasion, Sora comes upon a weapon called the Keyblade, which allows him to fight the Heartless. He soon arrives in another world, called Traverse Town, where he comes upon Donald Duck and Gooft, 2 emissaries from the Disney Castle sent by King Mickey to find the owner of the Keyblade. The 3 then band together and travel to the different worlds themed after various Disney films, sealing the hearts of the world to protect them from further invasions by the Heartless. Along the way, they encounter a group of famous Disney villains led by Maleficent, who are controlling the Heartless to capture maidens called "The Princesses of Heart", and plan to use their power to open the door to "Kingdom Hearts" and rule over all the worlds.

-Though they eventually beat Maleficent, the 3 find that a man named Ansem has been using Maleficent and plans to obtain eternal darkness by opening the Kingdom Hearts door using a Keyblade of his own. Sora, Donald, Goofy beat Ansem and seal the door to Kingdom Hearts with the help of Riku and King Mickey on the other side of the door. This leads to a sequel, Chain of Memories, where the 3 begin searching for Riku and King Mickey.
The level Monstro from Pinocchio in what may be the Japanese release of this game

Gameplay
-The game moves from one story to the next through the use of cutscenes.
-Gummi ships are very vital in this game. They are the main mode of moving in this game. It is similar to a rail shooter type of action in games. In this game, Jiminy Cricket is the royl chronicler apponted by Queen Minnie.
-As enemies are defeated, the players can level up, where they grow stronger and gain access to new abilities.

Traverse Town

Atlantica
The boss level of Atlantica, Ursula
Agrabah

Music
-Most of the music is basically Tokyo pop music, or orchestra music composed by Yoko Shimomura. And the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra did music for this. In the game, Japanese pop star Utada Hikaru sang the songs, "Hikari" and "Passion", which translate in to "Simple and Clean" and "Sanctuary" from their Japanese translations.

Kingdom Hearts II

Another game I looooooooooooove!!!!!

Kingdom Hearts II
-Sequel to the 2005 version.
-This one is on PlayStation 2
-Picks up one year after Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Did You Know?
-Yen Sid is Disney spelled backwards
-Was Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita's last work before his death. He provided the voice of the Emperor of China in the Mulan level
-Stitch from the movie Lilo and Stitch was added because a survey said Stitch was the 2nd most popoular Disney character in Japan
-Alot of actors from the first game did not reprise their roles:
    Billy Zane: Ansem
  1. David Boreanaz: Leon
Mandy Moore: Aerith
Lance Bass: Sephiroth
Christy Carlson Romano: Yuffie
Sean Astin: Hercules

-Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush were unable to do their voices in the game because they were busy filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
-Mulan, Beast, Belle, Jack Skellington, Ariel are the only 5 Disney characters to have a costume change
-The only Disney villains to return to the game are: Oogie Boogie(Nightmare Before Christmas), Maleficent(Sleeping Beauty), Jafar(Aladdin), Ursula(The Little Mermaid), and Hades(Hercules)
-Each world has a unique symbol appearing on screen during a scene transition:
  1. Twilight Town: keyhole
  2. Disney Castle: Mickey's head
  3. Hollow Bastion: crown

  15. The World That Never Was: Heart with an X
Gameplay
-Similar to Kingdom Hearts
-There are also side missions available to player
-Similar to the first Kingdom Hearts game in the state that when you defeat enemies, you can get the chance to level up, becoming stronger, and gaining access to new fighting abilities and other abilities.
-In this game, the player controls the Gummi Ship from a top-down view.

Plot
-Begins 1 year after the events of Kingdom Hearts. The game takes place in a collection of various worlds(levels in gamer talk). In this game, the Disney characters are from live-action films as well as animated features. Each world is different in setting and appearance, to look like the Disney movie in which it originated. The artwork and graphics are created to look EXACTLY like the Disney movie it's from.
-Some worlds from the previous games appear, but in this game, new worlds are in it. There is the Land of Dragons, a fictional version of ancient China from the movie Mulan(BEST Disney movie ever!), Beast's Castle, a 19th century French Gothic castle based on Beauty and the Beast, Timeless River, a past version of Disney Castle with Steamboat Willie style animation, Port Royal from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pride Land, a great savannah from The Lion King, Space Paranoids, a digital world based on Tron within Hollow Bastion's computer network. Twilight Town, from Chain of Memories, has a greater role in this game as an introductory world. And in these levels, you work with characters from that movie. In The Land of Dragons, you work with Capt. Li Shang, Mulan's commanding officer, in Port Royal, you work with Capt. Jack Sparrow.

Story
-Sora, Donald and Goofy have been in suspended animation for the past year to regain memories lost in Chain of Memories. Elsewhere, Roxas, Sora's Nobody, is trapped in a virtual simulation of Twilight Town, created by DiZ to merge Roxas with his original self to restore Sora's power. His plans are interrupted and threatened by Organization XIII, their Nobodies, led by Axel, Roxas' former friend in the Organization, and they infiltrate the town. Roxas is able to merge with Sora finally. Sora, Donald and Goofy then wake up in the real Twilight Town and meet King Mickey and Yen Side, who send them on a journey. Their goal is to find Riku and stop the plans of Organization XIII, who control the Nobodies- the Heartless shell left over when a person with a strong heart is turned into a Heartless. Afterward, Maleficent is brought back and joins with a character named Pete to continue her goal for power.
Roxas

-Sora travels to many Disney-themed worlds now, old and new, and resolves problems caused by Organization XIII, the Heartless, Maleficent, Pete and local villains. During a visit to Hollow Bastion, they run into King Mickey, who reveals the true nature of Ansem, the bad guy from Kingdom Hearts. The Ansem Sora beat was actually the Heartless of Xenahort, a student of the real Ansem the Wise. The leader of the Organization is Xenahort's Nobody, Xemnas. Organization XIII
s plan is also told- they seek power of "Kingdom Hearts", the sum of all the hearts Sora released by destroying the Heartless with his Keyblade, to regain their worlds. Sora revisits these worlds to solve problems there, while seeking a way to Organizations XIII's base of operations. Throughout the game, he is secretly aided by a hooded figure who Sora thinks is Riku

-Following a lead, Sora, Donald and Goofy enter a passageway through Twilight Town and run into Axel, who sacrifices himself to create a passageway to "The World That Never Was", the headquarters of Organization XIII, with Kingdom Hearts looming overhead as a heart shaped moon. Sora finds Riku and Kairi, whose appearance has been changed by the darkness to that of Xenahort's Heartless. Riku says to Sora the nature of his connection to Roxas. King Mickey encounters DiZ, who reveals himself to be Ansem the Wise. Ansem uses a device that takes away some of Kingdom Hearts' power, but a systerm overload causes the device to self destruct, engulfing Ansem and returning Riku to his original form. At the top of the Castle That Never Was, Sora and company battle Xemnas, who uses what little power Kingdom Hearts has left to power his multiple forms. After Sora and Riku destroy Xemnas, the 2 are reunited with their friends at their home, Destiny Islands. A post credits scene shows Sora, Kairi, Riky getting a letter from Mickey, it's contents hidden.
