ONE MORE WEEK! ONE MORE WEEK!

That's right! One more week until this year's annual Rock on the Range festival, which happens every year from May 15-17, ever since 2007. I'm really looking forward to this year's lineup, with Judas Priest, Linkin Park and Slipknot as the main headliners and also hoping to find some new music to like. And in the meantime, I'm so psyched to be seeing the Metal Gods, that's right, Judas Priest, in concert. And what will make it so memorable is seeing them with my sister. And also, seeing Linkin Park, one of her favorite bands

Somehow, not too long ago, my sister started listening to Judas Priest. Which surprised me, but then again, my mom thought she'd be the type to listen to them, not me. The song that got her hooked was "Breaking the Law". And also recently, she downloaded my Essential Judas Priest album because she said there were a lot of good songs on it. And of all things, the front cover has an image of the guys. And for some reason, her eyes went immediately to Glenn Tipton, the lead guitarist. She now officially has a crush on him and when we see Judas Priest next month, I have to point out who's who on stage, including hew new crush, Glenn. It may have been a mistake letting her look at the front of the CD, lol. Maybe my sister has a thing for blondes? LMAO! All I know is, if she has a thing for blondes who play guitar, then she's really gonna flip when she sees Richie Faulkner, who is blonde and plays guitar!

Rock on the Range lineup

There's a chance I might finally get to see Black Sabbath in concert...
As I said in my post about going to see one of my fave metal bands, Judas Priest, in concert, the people organizing this yearly music fest are trying to score some big name artists to headline next year's fest. One of those names is none other than fellow Birmingham, England-based metal band Black Sabbath. Oh man, if Sabbath signs on and plays there, I will get to see two of my all time favorite metal bands together in the same weekend. My mind will be blown! I will blow my camera up with as many photos as I can take!!!!!! The thought of seeing one of my fave metal bands in concert is more than I can take without going bonkers. I'm so excited thinking about it!! Can't wait for May. But the thought of seeing TWO of my fave metal bands in the same weekend- oh man, I really hope they play. Mostly, my concern would be that Tony gets better from his current bout with lymphoma. That's my main concern. I'd rather have him be better than anything. He can't die from cancer- he has a beautiful wife by his side, a beautiful daughter and lots of people and fans who care. Around where I live, there would be a riot should something happen!! I'm surrounded by fans of Brit metal and they sure do love their British metal legends :D

This is off the Facebook page for Rock on the Range 2015.

Now that Rock On The Range 2014 has come to an end we will speculate on possible bands that could be a headliner or co-headlining band at Rock On The Range 2015.
Lets start off with bands who have played before that have a new album coming out between now and ROTR 2015:
Slipknot
Godsmack
Shinedown
Rob Zombie
Deftones
Lamb Of God
Volbeat
Asking Alexandria

Lets start off with bands who have played before that have a new album coming out between now and ROTR 2015:
Slipknot
Godsmack
Shinedown
Rob Zombie
Deftones
Lamb Of God
Volbeat
Asking Alexandria
Here are bands who should have new albums out by ROTR 2015 that have played before that could be main stage opening bands or side stage headliners:
Anthrax...

Danzig
In This Moment
10 Years
Halestorm
Bullet For My Valentine
In Flames
Ghost

Here are bands who have yet to play. This list will be of bands who would probably be one of the headliners/co-headliners. ROTR 2014 reached out to Guns N’ Roses and I believe if they are willing to pay top dollar combined with the fact they want less repeats that at least one – if not some – of these bands may play:
AC/DC
Black Sabbath
Judas Priest
Metallica
Rammstein
System Of A Down
Tool
Van Halen
You can be promised most of the bands probably received a yearly invite to play the festival.
And there could be a handful of bands from 2014 that play again. Two bands that had huge crowd at the second stage areas that I think could be considered for back-to-back ROTR sets are:
Of Mice & Men
The Pretty Reckless
This list is just an educated guess at best. There are not rumors or evidence to support these opinions of which bands may play ROTR 2015. I will probably update this list again in a few months. With that said which 3 bands would you like to see as the main headliners of ROTR 2015?

I GET TO SEE JUDAS PRIEST!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally get to see Judas Priest!!!!
After all the hoping I have done to see the "Metal Gods" in concert, it had finally come! They are playing the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio and I have ordered tickets! This is a massively huge heavy metal and hard rock music festival. Not only will they be up there, but so will Volbeat and Linkin Park, two bands my sister loves And not to mention, there will be many more artists there than what was listed. Meaning anyone could be there! I am so glad I bought tickets! Now me and my sister can see our fave bands together, make it a family affair, lol!!!! Hey, who knows. I might even discover a new artist or two. I'm really hoping on the discovering a new artist. I love finding new music!!! But I finally get to see Judas Priest. There is a hope, lol. Maybe my prayers were answered? LOL!! This is going to ROCK!!!!!

All Does Not Seem to Be Well in the Rolling Stones Camp

News
After hearing the news of The Stones playing at the upcoming Glastonbury Music Festival, Stones drummer Charlie Watts has other things to say about it

“I don’t want to do it [Glastonbury]. Everyone else does. I don’t like playing outdoors, and I certainly don’t like festivals,” He told newspaper The Guardian. “The worse thing playing outdoors is when the wind blows, if you’re a drummer, because the cymbals move … it really is hard to play then.”

The main reason for his dislike of outdoor music festivals is Mother Nature playing havoc with drummers.

For Those That Live in the UK and Love The Rolling Stones

They have confirmed a date at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29
Most people in the U.S. are still awaiting a word for an expanded U.S. tour.

Mick Jagger said earlier on Twitter  “Can’t wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!”

Rumor has it that the festival is already sold out, and rumors also fly around saying that the Stones will play "fewer than 20 dates" on their new tour

Another One of My Favorite Vacation Spots: Pigeon Forge, TN

Pigeon Forge, TN
This is the city you have to pass through to get to Gatlinburg. Oh, and FYI, country music is HUGE down here. So don't mind it if you see places with countrified names or named after country singers

I wanted to go on this go-kart track so bad! But, like most of the go-kart tracks, you must have a valid driver's license

The local Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum

The Old Mill. It's a restaurant. Very good food. I'd recommend it

View of Pigeon Forge from the sky

My mom's 2 favorite words: Outlet Mall!

Dollywood. The resident theme park named after Dolly Parton.

A local brewery

This hotel was across the street from the hotel we stayed in the last time we visited Gatlinburg. This hotel has a lazy river in it

Mama's Farmhouse. A local restaurant to get some good home cooked food.

The Lazy Bear Inn

Lazerport. A laser tag and video arcade

There was never one time when we were there that my mom didn't go in there and buy herself a new souvenir- kitchen utensils!

This place is really good to go to in the morning for breakfast. This place is like the Southern cousin of what we know of as Frisch's

Hillbilly Village flea market

Just some of the many souvenir places invading Pigeon Forge

Sign you see upon entering Pigeon Forge

Krispy  Kreme! They have killer glazed donuts! One bite and you can't stop eating them, they're that good!

No Way Jose's. Mexican restaurant

The Riverstone Resort, near Dollywood

The Dixie Stampede. Live comedy shows

Fire Tower Falls water slide at Dollywood, the local theme park

The Comedy Barn. Live comedy shows

The local theme park

As you can clearly see, Elvis is REALLY popular down in the South! If my stepdad ever saw this, oh brother! He'd have ammo for annoying my mom for the next 10 years!

One of My Favorite Vacation Spots: Gatlinburg, TN

Gatlinburg, TN
If you're looking for a family friendly location for the next family vacation, I'd recommend here. It's perfect for families. I know, I've been there a hundred times and never get tired of it.

The Skylift. Was never allowed to go on it. I was too little

Gatlinburg slides. Goes from at the top of the Great Smoky Mountains all the way down the mountain back to Gatlinburg

This is the trolley you can ride into town. Just go into the parking lot of the nearby hotels and you can hitch a ride into town
Since this is the South, you're gonna see alot of Cajun cookin' places like this, with funny names. This is the Bubba Gump Gumbo Factory
The cable car that takes you up the mountains
Amazing Mirror Gallery

The Rainbow Inn

This is "Ober Gatlinburg". The cable car image up above, takes you up here. This is an ice rink above town. Also up here, you can gain access to the famous Gatlinburg Slides

I see Baskin Robbins is popular here...

The Ripley's Believe It or Not! Aquarium in downtown Gatlinb

Hillbilly Golf. This is real big down here. You have to take a small Skylift up into the woods above to play because that's where the course is
