What's on My MP3?

This is what my MP3 looks like, I can't afford an iPod, too pricey!

I was reading people's blogs, commenting on the cool stuff they put on them when I seen one that kind of inspired me to do this one.

On my MP3, there's a lot of stuff people don't like, nothing inappropriate, mostly Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, The Beatles, Aerosmith, a little Foreigner, Jon Bon Jovi, etc. I'm probably the only one who graduated from high school in 2008 that is a massive fan of British rock, Latin, R&B, etc.

If you love The Rolling Stones, then I'd suggest checking out their Bridges to Babylon album, alot of the stuff on that one is newer, but still good, some of the songs are original, but other than that, totally awesome, and if you want to catch a glimpse of the Rolling Stones in their heyday when they were first getting started, then let me suggest the Hot Rocks album, alot of the tracks on there are their early stuff, from 1964-1971.
And if you're looking for all their really good tracks, then check out their Forty Licks album, taken from the fact that it has forty songs on it, thus the name Forty Licks. There are a couple tracks on there I especially love, both are on Disc 2, You Got Me Rocking and Emotional Rescue. Those 2 are 2 really good tracks. My favorite ones in The Rolling Stones are it's lead singer Mick Jagger and it's rhythm guitarist Ronnie Wood as most would call him. The reason I like these 2 is because at Mick's age, he is built like a brick house, he's in incredible shape and so is the rest. Some would consider it weird that I find a man Mick Jagger's age very handsome, but that's who I am. Ronnie Wood is my other favorite because when he's on stage, he looks like he's just up there having fun playing guitar, he looks like a little kid just having fun. And plus, he's one freakin awesome guitarist.

And if you're into more mellow British rock, then let The Beatles be for you. They're all the glam and glitz of a rock band but with the mellowness of the 1960s British Invasion-era. The Beatles 1 album is definitely one to check out, it has all their good stuff on it, I guess that's why they call it 1, all their #1 hits. Unfortunately, John Lennon and George Harrison weren't around to see how popular the Beatles were, but they live on in the form of people playing Beatles hits. And if it's Paul McCartney you like, then the Band on the Run album is for you. It's pretty good. I'm just glad that George Harrison and his wife Patti weren't with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards the night they got arrested by the London police for drug possession. I really don't think they would have needed to spend time in jail because of something that Keith may have done and dragged Mick into.

If Latin music is more you, I have that on it too. Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Ritchie Valens are the only Latin singers I listen to. I love their music because it's calming, romantic. All 3 of these singers have greatest hits albums out, and along with other albums. For Shakira, the She Wolf album is definitely worth checking into, the main track on there, She Wolf, has a nice Latin beat to get you up and dancing.

And if R&B is more your thing, I got just the thing for ya. Aaliyah is an R&B singer based out of Brooklyn, that's where she's from. Her music is all romantic and good, there's one track that should be checked into, Try Again, this song is really good, and if you seen the movie Romeo Must Die with Jet Li in it, he's in the video for the song. Unfortunately, poor Aaliyah is no longer with us anymore. She's R&B-ing up in heaven, she was sadly killed in a plane crash, but she lives on through her music. And Seal is a good one too, he's R&B as well, one of his tracks, Kiss From a Rose, is eerily romantic, and yet very addictive, because if you listen to it once, you might be tempted to listen to it again. As for me, I love all the old-school R&B, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, etc.

If you're into just rock and hard rock, then go in the direction of Aerosmith, Foreigner, etc. Those 2 bands I love listening to, I have a favorite in both bands. In Aerosmith, my 2 favorites are the lead singer Steven Tyler and the lead guitarist Joe Perry. Both are very handsome men and they can really rock on stage. It seems like they're the only ones you'd notice on stage, if they played in concert. And in the band Foreigner, my favorite is the lead singer Kelly Hansen, he's cute and he can really hit those high notes. For these bands, for Aerosmith, I recommend either the Devil's Got a New Disguise album, the O Yeah! album or the Big Ones album. All 3 of those are VERY good albums and have all of Aerosmith's really awesome songs. For Foreigner, I recommend the No End in Sight album, it has all their good stuff on 2 CD's. More than enough Foreigner to go around!

And if you're totally clueless about what these guys look like, here are some pics. Because you'll probably read this and think "Who are these people?" Well, here are some pics to clear things up if you don't know what they look like:
The Rolling Stones

My favorites in this pic are the one to the far right: Ronnie Wood(rhythm guitarist),and the one 2nd from the right, next to Ronnie holding the sunglasses: Mick Jagger(lead singer). These 2 are totally awesome. Plus, Mick is really hot still. I know this may sound strange coming from someone who was around AFTER these guys came out, but I really think he's sexy still! But I guess it's because I sort of have a thing for English guys with cute accents.

Aerosmith                                             Paul McCartney

Shakira

Seal

The Beatles

My favorites in this picture are: Paul McCartney(2nd from right)George Harrison(far right) and John Lennon(far left). The reason they're my favorite is because Paul still entertains today, in this pic George Harrison was really hot, and, he cared alot about others. Thank God he wasn't there the night Mick Jagger and Keith Richards got arrested for drug possession. And John Lennon, I'm with him on giving peace a chance. It never hurts to try and  solve things nonviolently w/o having to resort to violence.

As you can see, my tastes in music are ALL over the place, in all kinds of decades and stuff, from the groovy and British 60s, to awesome 80s, and from rock to R&B, to British rock, you name it!
Sorry if the pictures keep not showing up, sorry about this.

Racism

I know I probably already did a previous blog on my thoughts and opinions of racism, but I really need to get my opinions out.

I have a computer class here at Gateway and recently had to do a PowerPoint presentation on something, so I did mine on racism/discrimination. It horrified me to see and read what stereotypes people have for everyone. It horrified me to read that some people assume bad things about others. Thank God I'm not like this, I'm very tolerant of EVERYONE! I did a slide about stereotypes from one place where I didn't think stereotypes existed- England! Yeah, there are mean stereotypes of the nice and lovely people of this awesome place. For some reason, my dad always assumes people from England got bad teeth like Michael Caine, no one from England has bad teeth. I do not assume this. My dad does. I hate racism as I've said in blogs before.

In high school, I had to deal with the issue of discrimination. This one classmate had thought that it was funny to do the Nazi salute to everyone. OMG! He did it to me and I almost knocked his lights out right then and there. You see, I'm part Jewish, very small part, and even that's enough to know I don't like people Nazi saluting everyone. They think it's funny, but it's not. This classmate also had thought it was funny to racially insult my step dad because of his Italian ancestry. He knows it gets a rise out of me to insult him, he knows I love my family very deeply and he has he balls to insult my step dad? NO WAY!

And my aunt, don't even get me started! She is nice, but very biased about people. But she can be very rude and mean towards people. There was this one guy she usually went out with, he was a nice older man named Roger, he was a nice older Italian gentleman, he was sweet as could be, and when he dressed up, nothing against him, but he always wore pinstripe suits that made him look like a mobster. Anyway she didn't want to go out with him anymore when she found out that his mother lives with him so he can take care of her. How ridiculous is that? But she's the type of person who will openly speak her opinion and not care who she hurts. When me, my sister, dad and her went to Cynthiana, Ky, for a family reunion, omg, it was like the Deliverance Family Reunion. Funny name, huh? Anyway, my dad has family down there and nothing against them, they are nice, but they are pure country and hate anyone of another race/ethnicity. Anyway, we went to see them and I think maybe I made the mistake of wearing a Rolling Stones tee with their picture on it. About an hour into this literal racist nightmare, people start talking about how we have to learn Spanish in school. I hear various comments like "This is America! If those illegal immigrants want to come into our country, then they better learn English" or "I don't get why we have to learn Spanish". Then they started talking about stuff they seen in People Magazine, and unfortunately, they started talking about this picture of Jet Li that was in there because this was right around the time The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor came out and my aunt Lois said they should ship him back to China. How rude is that? And then they started talking about this picture of Mick Jagger that was in there because it showed him walking around with his son Lucas and daughter Georgia, my aunt Lisa said he's the most hideous man she's ever laid eyes on. I actually had to sit there and not say a thing. If I spoke my mind about what I thought about this, I'd get a dirty look from my dad or aunt, like I just committed murder or something,  my life is almost controlled by my dad or aunt.

But basically racism is something I hate. I thought we were all past the point of hating others because of skin color or race? It's not the 1950s anymore, no one cares about the fact that someone is black, Asian, Italian, Jewish, British, etc. We all need to MOVE ON!

Goals for the future.

I have a lot I would love to accomplish in my time here on Earth. You only have one life, so why not make it interesting? Well, for starters, I'd love to travel, to places far and exotic, like China, Japan, Italy, England, Australia. I'm not sure why it is that these places I would love to travel to, but there's just something about these places I'd love to see, I guess for England it's because one of my favorite bands is from there, The Rolling Stones, they got started by playing gigs at different clubs around London, like The Marquee Club, or places that may not be in London, like the Crawdaddy Club or the Longleat House.

But right now in the now dimension, I just want to graduate. I'm currently attending Gateway Community and Technical College for an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. When I graduate, I want to get a job in Graphic Design. If there's a way to make a job out of doing CD covers for famous bands/artists, let me at it. Because this kind of stuff and advertising is what I love to do. I actually did a poster for a friend of mine. He's a massive music listener and he told me what he wanted on a poster and I had to ask him to repeat it because I thought I was hearing things. He wanted a poster for a 3 day music weekend, and as for the type of music, he told me British Invasion, I kid you not, he told me the artists he wanted, and he wanted the poster to make it look like these 3 English bands were going to each put on a concert over the course of 3 days. He wanted The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Wings, and The Who on here. I finished it for him and he paid me $30 for it. Cool.

Sometimes I wonder, how do we begin to like the stuff we like now? When I think back on who I was when I was younger, I proudly admit that when I was younger, I was the type of girl who went nuts for the boy bands of the late 1990s and early 2000's. But thank God I outgrew that phase. I sometimes wonder how I got to like bands like The Beatles, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, etc. And then it hits me: my step dad. Yeah, I got a step dad, he's awesome. And it also surprises some to hear that he's part Italian and part Jewish. Some people make a big deal out of it, saying "your step dad is Italian? Wow, I never knew that". Yup, I have a step dad, his name is Greg and he is awesome. I guess he's the reason why I like all these cool older bands, because he likes them, he basically introduced their music to me. And also, it extends to TV as well. There's these 2 TV shows that I love watching, although most people in my part of the world may not know what they are. Not surprisingly, they're both TV shows out of England, one's called Top Gear, the other is called My Family. I love the show Top Gear, it's funny and it teaches you about cars, and sometimes they do funny stunts with cars, like this one episode where they had to build their own limos and take these British singers to an award show. Another part of the show I like is when they have famous people on there. I have an episode I haven't watched yet at home on the DVR, it's an episode of Top Gear from 2007, that has Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones on it. Man he is one awesome dude. The other TV show I like is called My Family. It's about this guy named Ben Harper, who's a dentist, and his family, his wife Susan, his sons Nick and Michael, daughters Abby and Janie. I swear, my sister is exactly like Janie. and my mom says that I'm a mix of Abby and Nick, because I can be a little ditzy sometimes and I'm a massive music lover and a little clueless like Nick.

But my main goals for the future is to travel. Sorry if I tend to get off topic. I must have the attention span of a fly or something. But I really want to travel to places outside of the US. I've never really been on vacation anywhere outside the US and I really want to travel. I want to go to places far away, like England, China, Japan, Italy, Australia. But I'll definitely be getting myself a passport otherwise I ain't going anywhere! Another goal I have is to go to a concert for a band I actually like, when I was younger, I went to a concert with my sis for a band my parents both liked before they divorced, it was this country band called Alabama. They're okay, but I never really cared for them. Now, if I ever go to a concert, it's going to be for Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Seal or Shakira. Either one of those is fine with me. Believe it or not, I'm probably the only one in my college classes who actually loves music like Paul McCartney or The Rolling Stones. I'd love to see BOTH of these bands in concert because their music is totally amazing!

Hobbies/Interests

Ah yes, hobbies. Everyone has one at least. I have alot of them, when I'm not in school, I usually have my head stuck in a book, or when I'm not doing that, I'm usually working on a puzzle or on a paint by number. In fact, I'm actually working on a puzzle, it's an Ed Hardy one, it looks like a tattoo of this Japanese geisha girl, And after I finish this one, I want to get one of The Beatles, I seen 3 I want to get and The Beatles White Album isn't one of them, they actually made a puzzle out of this, but the ones I want to get is The Beatles' Yellow Submarine puzzle, The Revolver album one, and the Let It Be album one.

Oh man, you should have been with me, my mom, stepdad and my sister right before Christmas. We were out at the mall because my mom and stepdad were trying to get ideas of what to get me and my sis for Christmas. They were both thinking about getting us puzzles and we went into this one place and it was a puzzle store, my sister wanted to get an Ed Hardy puzzle or a Gothic puzzle, so we ask this lady at the front desk if she can help, so she asks what kind of puzzle she's looking for and she says Gothic, so this lady takes her over to this shelf with Gothic fairy puzzles, and it's not what's she's looking for, so the woman asks her what music she listens to, and somehow she takes us over to where they have all these Beatles and John Lennon puzzles. It actually took me and my mom to convince this lady that she's not a Fab Four fan, I'm more of a fan of The Beatles than she is. We actually had to tell this woman "Lady, she doesn't like The Beatles or John Lennon, get it through your head!" This lady must have been dumber than a sack of rocks.

But anyway, when it comes to hobbies, I do pretty much anything creative, from reading books, to writing short stories, to painting paint by numbers, to doing puzzles. I like to do creative stuff because it keeps me busy. If I don't have a good book to read or a paint by number to do, I'm bored easily. When I was in high school, in my English class, we had this one assignment where we had to write a short story for our portfolio thing. I wrote one about these 2 cops investigating a mysterious murder in the South. Wasn't too bad, the teacher chose a few and mine was one of them to publish in a creative writing contest, won $200 on it, but it went right in the bank.

But when it comes to hobbies, I have alot. And as for interests, I have alot. One of them is foreign languages. I'd love to learn a few more, I'm quite fluent in Spanish, mainly because I had to take it to graduate from high school, but I thoroughly enjoyed learning this language. Unfortunately, my fellow graduates hated learning this language. They called it 'gay'. That's another thing, I hate when people use the word gay to say stupid. All they do is make themselves sound stupider. They don't understand what the word means. But anyway, learning foreign languages is an interest I have. I'd love to learn Italian, Chinese, Japanese, German and maybe Russian, a friend of mine says that I'm nuts for wanting to learn how to speak, read and write some of the most difficult languages in the known world, but I told her, I want to learn it. Another interest of mine is world cultures. Chinese and Japanese culture is so endlessly fascinating to me, all the little traditions, customs, and history related to that fascinates me. That probably explains why I'd love to go to China and Japan some day. And if possible, maybe live there. There are about 4 places that I would love to live in:
1. China: the culture fascinates me, so does the history, traditions, customs, and plus 2 of favorite actors are Chinese, Jet Li and Chow Yun-fat. So that shows I appreciate Asian culture.
2. Japan: same reason as China, the history, customs, traditions and culture fascinate me.
3. Australia: If I could live here, it would have to be 1 of 3 places along the coast; Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. They re right near the ocean and every night you can see the sun set over the ocean and every morning you can see the sun rise over the ocean, totally romantic.
4. London, England. For some reason, I'd love to live here because the culture here seems so similar to ours, but it has that feeling of being interesting. The only obstacle I'd have with that is the currency issue, from what I hear, the currency isn't dollars there, it's pounds, quid, etc. But the fun part part would be getting to learn how to adjust to that. I'd enjoy every second of learning about it.

Artists I Listen To

When it comes to music, some will tell me that they have a favorite singer or someone who's in a band that they have the major hots for. Well, the musicians that I love alot, people my age would think I'm on crack for thinking these guys are still cute, and I say let them think that, as long as I know I like them, no problemas! But I'm proud to admit that I find Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood cute. I find them especially sexy in these 2 pics.
These are pictures of the guys who make up one of my favorite bands, The Rolling Stones:

Charlie Watts

Ronnie Wood

Mick Jagger

I love these guys because their music is totally awesome. I'm not big on Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones totally rule, but in past years, I've heard about Keith dong things that I can't exactly understand why he
was doing them. At home I get made fun of alot because one time I happened to have said that I find Mick still sexy. My dad gave me a look like I was sprouting 4 heads, he said "Caitlin, are you on drugs?" I told him no and that I found him to be still handsome. I'm definitely not like most of my peers. Whereas
most of my peers find someone their age hot, for some reason, I find that someone like Mick Jagger is still attractive, hopefully I can find someone out there, a nice guy with a funny side and romantic side. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, I find Mick Jagger extremely sexy in this picture.
Seal, he's one of my favorite R&B musicians, not to mention drop dead gorgeous!!
Never knew he was a Londoner

It may seem like all I listen to is British rock and Latin and R&B, but it's just what I like, I'm not like most people my age, most people my age are supposed to listen to hip hop, I think, but my tastes are stuck in the groovy British 60s and Latin and R&B times. If I didn't have to share a room with a younger sibling at home, I'd be decking the walls in all things 1960s and 1970s, there would be the one Beatles poster, maybe a couple Rolling Stones posters, a poster for Paul McCartney and peace signs galore!

And I don't know why the pictures never show up, it ticks me off, I want to use pictures on this thing and they don't show up? Ridiculous!

About Me

Look, I know I may have done multiple blogs about this, bur I'm not sure if anyone reads these things. So I'll basically tell you a little about me. I'm now 20 years old, my birthday is on Oct. 1. I have a dad named Steve, who works as a Sorter Machine Operator at US Bank, he basically sorts checks all day and makes sure they go where they need to go, he works the 1st shift, 7am-3pm. My mom, Brenda, works at Fifth Third Processing Solutions LLC, not sure about the last part, she basically works in Fraud, making sure people aren't becoming victims of identity theft. She's on the phones all day, locking/blocking cards for protection and she gets repaid by hearing people yell at her all day. My sister, Jessie, is in her senior year in high school. She recently got a tattoo, an Ed Hardy one, of a skull that says Love Kills Slowly, she loves it, and she was practically hitting on the tattoo artist. My step dad, Greg, also works at US Bank, he's a Reconciler, meaning he and a few other people prepare checks to go in to the sorter room. He works the 3rd shift, 5pm-3am.

When I get out of college and get a job, I hopefully want to get a job as a graphic designer, and work somewhere cool. And when it comes to living somewhere, there are 3 places, well, more like 4 places that I would love to live in if I couldn't live anywhere else. 1st: my main favorite place that I would live in if possible is China. The culture is so endlessly fascinating to me, I've been interested in Chinese history/culture since 7th grade, so this fascination has gone on for a long time, 2nd: Japan, it's basically the same reason as China, the culture/history of Japan is endlessly fascinating to me. 3rd: Australia. It has a wild west feel to it, and it would have to be 1 of 3 cities along the coast: Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, so that way every night I can see the sunset over the ocean and the sunrise over the ocean every morning. 4th: London, England. This place because the culture is so similar to ours that it wouldn't be much of a difference, the only obstacle I'd face is the currency issue. Over there, dollars aren't the currency, pounds, quid, etc is. But I'd quickly learn to adjust.

Like anyone who has a goal to do something before they die, I have a long list, a 'bucket list' if you call it that. My main thing is I want to travel, to places far and exotic, like China, Japan, places that are really cool, like London, Sydney, Australia. And another goal for me is to see one of my fave bands in concert, The Rolling Stones, I'm bound and determined to see them play live. It may sound strange that someone who is 20 years old, in college wanting to see these guys, but their music totally kicks butt in music! They've been around for ever and I've listened to them for a few years. Another goal I have is to go rock climbing, the only obstacle I have with that is I have a small case of asthma and I think that would interfere with rock climbing. It's one of the many interests I have. I have alot of interests and goals that I want to accomplish in the future, and as for concerts, I'd love to see Paul McCartney too, his music is so good, and it's romantic. Honestly, how much better can you get than that?

My fave music is The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Paul McCartney, basically British rock. I'm a massive fan of it, and at home I often get made fun of for listening to these guys, especially The Stones, as many people call them, my favorite ones in the group are Ronnie Wood, as he is called, Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts, Keith Richards I'm not too big on, I mean, he's a good guitarist, but he got into too much trouble with drugs. But I do love other music, Latin music is really awesome and I'm totally into that stuff, but it has to be either Shakira or Enrique Iglesias, because they're the only ones I'll listen to. And also R&B I'm massively huge on, it has to be Seal, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah because their music totally kicks butt in the R&B world.

I also have a Facebook account, strange to hear me saying that because a few years ago, I was so hesitant to start an account, not sure why and back in 2010 I had to start one because of school. And you won't believe the amount of people I share stuff in common with, most of the people I'm friends with on Facebook share a common like: The Rolling Stones, I kid you not, most of the people I'm friends with on Facebook like The Rolling Stones like me. When it comes to movies, however, some people will say that they only watch certain movies or whatever, I'm pretty open minded about this sort of stuff, I'll pretty much watch anything, even if it seems weird to others. Like this one movie, Freejack, it has Mick Jagger from the Stones in it, it is really weird, but it's okay in it's own way. My dad says he's not the greatest actor, but I say different. I think Mick is really sexy when he acts, and I never actually hear him talk before, like when he sings, he has this almost high pitched voice, but when he talks, he has this real deep voice which is sort of sexy, something about it is strangely sexy. Alot of the actors I like are Asian, like Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh, Lucy Liu, B.D. Wong. Not sure why I like these people as my favorite actors, but they are just good, that must be the reason.

Basically, overall, I'm a very tolerant person, one thing that really ticks me off is when someone is being bullied because of race/skin color, etc. I don't like racism/discrimination, if you really want to, pardon my French, piss me off, do that and you'll see how I am when I am angry. I'm a very nice person, I treat everyone with kindness and respect, I'll treat you nice if you treat me nice, but if you treat me like crap, don't expect any respect back because I'll treat you like crap right back! If I see someone being bullied because of something like race/skin color, ethnicity, etc, that person is going to get an earful from me. It may sound like I'm very against this, but I am. In my family, my aunt is a very biased person, she doesn't see the good in people like I do, she only sees the outside. She only notices if the person is black, Asian, Italian, Latino, etc. And I love my dad dearly, but sometimes he can be offensive, I always tell him that I really don't like him saying thing about people. Like sometimes if we're watching something, that'll usually get him started. Like one time we, as in my sister, me and him were watching this movie called The Full Monty, which I may add is a really awesome movie, and he heard the way they were talking in the movie, all of them had a deep British accent and he started mocking the way they were talking. Sorry, but I really HATE the way people treat others because of race/skin color, etc. Racism/discrimination is the most evil thing anyone ever came up with. You really want to piss me off, do that, and you'll get a very large earful from me!

About Me

I know I've done blogs like this in the past, including my first official blog, but I love to talk about what I like and see if anyone out there in the blogosphere likes what I like and see if there are any common likes and similarities out there.

When it comes to TV, I pretty much watch anything, except reality shows, those are the stupidest things ever, no offense to those who love them, but I really don't care for them, that's all that seems to be on TV nowadays. Now certain shows, like Cake Boss, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings, I'm not sure if those count as reality shows, but if they do, I love them. But other shows, like crime dramas and stuff I watch. My most favorite shows are CSI:NY, Law and Order: SVU, Top Gear, which is a Britain based car show where these 3 guys do different stunts and stuff with cars. Like they'll build their own limos out of cars or build their own RV out of cars, it's funny. And other shows, like Cake Boss, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings are cool because of the stuff they get or do.

This is what the crew from Top Gear look like. It's a British based TV show, so it's probably no surprise that not that many know the show except for the newly made American version of it. Personally, the British version trumps the American version any day. My favorite one is the one to the far left, with the dark brown hair and dark brown leather jacket. He's so cute, but then again, I guess I got a thing for English guys with accents.
When it comes to movies, I like virtually any movie, except movies where there's someone constantly cussing, too much sex stuff or anything overtly violent. I like movies that make me laugh, have a good story to it or is got one of my favorite actors in it. I mean, the movie could totally suck but if it had Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat or Hugh Jackman in it, I'll watch it. Most of the movies I watch usually have one thing in common: they're either martial arts movies, movies with an English actor in it, like What a Girl Wants, or Bend It Like Beckham or The Full Monty.

When it comes to movies, I have a lot of favorite actors, some of them aren't even actors, some are musicians, like for example, Mick Jagger, is a cool actor despite what some say about him not being a good actor. My favorite movie with him is Freejack and Ned Kelly. And other actors, include Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat, Hugh Jackman, Sylvester Stallone

Favorite Artists

You know how everyone has that one band/artist that they're totally devoted to? Like some people will call themselves a 'Beatles' person or someone will call themselves a 'Who' person or a 'rap' person or a 'rock person. Well, when it comes to me, my tastes in music are all over the place, in all kinds of genres and decades. Firstly, I'm a massive fan of British rock, like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. Those 3 musicians I could listen to forever, all day and all night if given the chance. And when it comes to other genres, I love Latin music, like Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Carlos Santana. And just regular rock music like Foreigner, Aerosmith, Van Halen, you name it. And I'm also an avid fan of R&B, jazz, New Orleans-style jazz. That stuff is very relaxing, when it comes to R&B, I could just about listen to any R&B artist, like Aaliyah, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, or Jazz, like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, you name it. I love music in general, the only music I don't listen to is new wave stuff, like Nirvana, The Sex Pistols, or rap. sorry, you find that junk on my MP3. Most of the stuff you'll find on this lovely little piece of technology is mainly Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, The Beatles and the occasional Latin artist mixed in there somewhere. Here are some pictures of some of the artists that I listen to, now I'm not necessarily saying that these artists are better than what others may listen to, I just happen to like these musicians:

Weird songs

Have you ever noticed that when it comes to music, the songs that usually have funny lyrics, don't make any sense or are just weird in one case of the word always end up being the ones that people remember most? Well, here are some lyrics to a song that I think are funny, yet the song is really good. If you ever watch the original video, it's actually kinda funny because you see Mick Jagger come strutting out on to the area wearing the weirdest clothing, white jeans or something, a purple striped tee and white gymshoes, I think.

Start Me Up by The Rolling Stones

If you start me up
If you start me up I'll never stop
If you start me up
If you start me up I'll never stop
I've been running hot
You got me ticking gonna blow my top
If you start me up
If you start me up I'll never stop
Never stop, never stop, never stop

You make a grown man cry (x3)
Spread out the oil, the gasoline
I walk smooth, ride in a mean, mean machine
Start it up

If you start it up
Kick on the starter give it all you got, you got, you got
I can't compete with the riders in the other heats
If you rough it up
If you like it you can slide it up,
Slide it up, slide it up, slide it up

Don't make a grown man cry (x3)
My eyes dilate, my lips go green
My hands are greasy
She's a mean, mean machine
Start it up

If start me up
Ahh... give it all you got
You got to never, never, never stop
Slide it up, baby just slide it up
Slide it up, slide it up, never, never, never

You make a grown man cry (x3)
Ride like the wind at double speed
I'll take you places that you've never, never seen
If you start it up
Love the day when we will never stop, never stop
Never, never, never stop
Tough me up
Never stop, never stop

You, you, you make a grown man cry
You, you make a dead man come
You, you make a dead man come

You're So Vain by Carly Simon

You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and...

You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...

You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you

You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you? don't you?

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?

Well I hear you went up to Saratoga and your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not you're with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and...

You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you? don't you?

And I found out something really cool: a singer I like, Mick Jagger, from The Rolling Stones, did back up vocals on this song. I didn't know it until I listened to it and there it is, his voice is heard way better in the 2nd part of the song, if you listen to him sing, you get to know his voice by hearing it!

Peliculas(Movies)

When it comes to movies, alot of people will say that they have one favorite movie when they really have like 3 or 4 or more faves. When it comes to me, I have no real favorite genre of movie or one favorite movie, I like all kinds, the only kind of movies I don't watch are ones that look stupid. Most of the movies I watch mostly have one thing in common with the other-- they'll most likely have either Jet Li or Chow Yun-fat in them, those 2 are my favorite actors, people around me wonder why 2 of my favorite actors are Chinese-born actors and I simply tell them that they are good actors and you never hear anything bad about them.

Another thing I've noticed is that some musicians are branching out in to movies, like Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones, he's done a little acting, my dad says he isn't the world's best actor, I think wrong. I think he's a pretty cool actor, you just have to give him a chance, although some of the movies he's been in have been a little on the weird side, like Bent, he was a gay man who wore women's clothing, Freejack, he played a futuristic mercenary, The Man from Elysian Fields, he played the manager of a male escort service, Performance, he played a bisexual ex-rockstar named Turner. And Jon Bon Jovi does acting too, he's so sexy. But when it does come to movies, I'll watch just about anything, and at home almost every time my dad can't find something on, he'll turn to the enormous rack of movies we have, almost each shelf has one kind of movie or other or is devoted to one actor or another, like one shelf has nothing but Jet Li and Chow Yun-fat movies, another is split between Johnny Depp and Sylvester Stallone, another shelf has nothing but scary movies and so on and so forth.

Here are some of the movies I watch:

And when it comes to non-martial arts movies, I watch:

And when it comes to movies, almost everyone has that one actor or actress they love watching, even if the movie totally sucks. Most of the actors I like most people either think is weird or have no clue as to who they are, like Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat, Sylvester Stallone, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Mariska Hargitay. And there are also other actors I like, like Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter, he's pretty attractive. He's a megahottie. He's my favorite one in the Harry Potter movies.

Those are just some of the actors I like. But this blog hopefully lets you see what kind of movies I like, my favorite actors and actresses, etc.
