IDK why, I've been in a 1960s mood lately. I just adore this decade, all the cool fahions, all the cool music, all the cool pop culture, you name it, if I could, I'd live in this decade!!!!

• August 28, 1963- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gives his famous I Have a Dream speech in Washington D.C.

• August 7, 1964-The Beatles come to America and that is what is believed to bw what started the time known as the British Invasion, where suddenly large amounts of British pop/rock bands and artists come to America to strike it famous

• February 21, 1965- Malcolm X is killed in NYC

• Oct. 2, 1967- Thurgood Marshall is sworn in as the first black Supreme Court Justice
• Dec. 6, 1969- The Rolling Stones give a free concert at the Altamont Speedway in N. California. And it is believed that the Hell's Angels there had a hit out on Mick Jagger's life. 4 people died there as well.

• Woodstock- 3 days of peace, love and music
• May 1, 1960- American "U2" spy plane shot down over the USSR
