The Hollywood Palace
-Hour long American variety show, generally on Saturday nights from Jan. 4, 1964-Feb.7, 1970
-Staged in the former Hollywood Playhouse
-Unlike the Ed Sullivan Show, guest hosts were used instead of a permanent one. Here are some of the hosts/performers on the show:

2. Dean Martin
3. Bette Davis
4. Frank Sinatra
5. Milton Berle
6. Sammy Davis Jr.
7. Sid Caesar
8. Groucho Marx
9. The Rolling Stones

10. Tony Bennett
11. Ginger Rogers

13. Phyllis Diller
14. Elizabeth Montgomery
15. Judy Garland
16. Joan Crawford
17. Jimmy Durante
18. The Supremes
19. The Temptations
20. Dick Turfield

Many popular musicians also performed on the show. The Rolling Stones made their first US TV appearance on June 6, 1964 and the Jackson 5 made their TV appearance on Oct. 14, 1969. When The Rolling Stones appeared on the show, they were repeatedly ridiculed by host Dean Martin when they did 2 songs: "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and "Not Fade Away".
