-Australian-English actor best known for his role in Avatar, Terminator:Salvation, Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans.






Early Life
-Born to English parents in Surrey, England and moved to Perth, Australia when he was 6 months old
-His mother, Jeanne, is a homemaker, raised him, his sister Lucinda and his father was named Ronald W. Worthington, wo was a power plant employee.
-His father gave him $400 dollars and told him to "work his way home."
-At 19, he worked as a bricklayer
-And he was accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Art on a scholarship











Career
-In the 2007 Australian horror movie Rogue, he stars as a man named Neil











-In Terminator: Salvation, he plays a cyborg named Marcus Wright who helps the humans despite their suspicions of him




-Next, he starred in Avatar. He played Jake Sully, who was a paraplegic U.S. Marine who is assigned to control an alien body called an Avatar through a neural link and finds himself at the center of a war between humans and the Na'vi people on the moon Pandora.











-He provided voice work for the character Captain Alex Mason in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Some gamers noted he failed to conceal his Australian accent, like in Avatar.
-In 2012, he starred in the sequel to Clash of the Titans, called Wrath of the Titans. He plays Perseus, the demigod son of Zeus, like he did in the first film.

Personal Life
-Said that when he was 30, he had only about $2,000 to his name and lived in a car before auditioning for Avatar. Has found a place to live in since then.
