This one I like thanks to my stepdad
I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!

20 Things Tattooed People Grow Quickly Tired of Hearing
For anyone who gets inked, they often hear the same questions. "Did it hurt?" "Can I touch it?" "How much did it cost?" Anyone who has been tattooed will know someone who will ask at least one of these questions, or all of them. Here are some things tattooed people grow tired of hearing!!
Here are some of the MOST ANNOYING things that people with tattoos hear frequently
1. Did it hurt?
-This is the most commonly asked question. Those who have never had a tattoo before will often ask it. My recommendation is ask someone who has tattoos. But they will often tell you that it all comes down to how you handle pain. If you panic at the thought of getting a shot at the doctors, it's no biggie because those needles go deep into the muscle. Getting a tattoo really doesn't hurt; trust me, I was there. I was nervous before getting my first tattoo. I had big time butterflies in my stomach. But, luckily for me, I had my sister there, who seems to be a pro at this, to get me through it and also I had some great artists surrounding me who would also guide me through it and reassure me and keep me thinking positive. They even say that every time they get a first time tattoo, or "tattoo virgin", as they're called, they ease the person into the tattoo and that person realizes, that it's not all that bad and doesn't hurt. And sometimes, those people end up realizing it's really fun to get tattooed, which is good for both the person and the artist. It's good for the artist because it makes it easier on them and they know what to expect. And in fact, tomorrow, I'm going for my second one, this one most likely to be bigger than my first.
2. Do you regret your tattoos?
-If you regret your tattoos, then there's a problem. I've always believed that you only live once. May as well do as much as you can before leaving this Earth.
3. What will you do about your tattoos once you get older?
-Technically, you have to be 18 to start getting tattoos, but if you're at least 16, with a parents' consent, you can get tattoos. Because, technically, my sister was only 17 when she got her first one, which was why my dad had to sign for her to get it. Tattoos can remind you of the things you did in your younger years
4. What do your parents think of your tattoos?
-Every parent is different. Some look at it like it's no big deal, others maybe not so much. My mom laughed at mine in a friendly way, saying "Now, you have no reason to deny that you're not a darn hippie". I've always heard that tattoos can reflect the personality of people. They can tell the world who and what that person is, what their passions are, important people in their life, their likes/interests/hobbies and much more.
5. What will your kids think?
-Most kids will probably think tattoos are the coolest thing ever! Kids are like the least judgemental people on Earth. They see tattoos and they think those are awesome!!
6. Are you in a band?
-Just because someone has a tattoo of something music related does not mean they are a musician. They could be a music teacher in a school or they work in a music-related field, such as mixing board technician, or they work in a music studio or they just really love their music!
7. Do you worry about being unemployed?
-According to national statistics, one of every five people has at least one tattoo. Most workplaces have the same general out look on tattoos: as long as their not offensive or you can cover them up, you're good. Some places just don't care about tattoos. You can show them off. But some places, like some law firms, for example, might have a slightly strict policy on covering up tattoos-not good for the professional image
8. Do you only date/hang out with people who have tattoos?
-Just because someone doesn't have a tattoo, it doesn't mean you can't hang out. Tattoos are not the most important thing in deciding friendship
9. But you look so nice without them!
-But now I look even better with them! The most important thing is what the wearer thinks!
10. How will you hide them when you want to dress formally or for your wedding?
-Who says I'm gonna cover it up? I paid good money to show it off!!
11. What does that mean/Why did you get it?
-This is all too frequently asked. Tattoos can have personal meanings to people. If you do not know them, do not ask!
12. Did you only get it because of how it looks?
-Many people get tattoos because they like the work of a certain artist or simply how it looks
13. Is that real?
-No, I did this all with permanent marker! I do this every morning, idiot!
14. Can I touch it?
-Really? Did you seriously just ask this????? This is the WORST thing you can ask. This is like punching some random stranger in the face. When you first get a tattoo, it's healing, the skin is open, raw and still trying to heal. Any kind of bacteria can get in and cause infection and thus, mess it up. You spend your good money on good art and don't want some idiot messing it up!
15. How much did that cost?
-The rule of thumb for getting a tattoo is you get what you pay for. If you think a tattoo is going to cost way more than you ever dreamed of, then it's probably not a good idea to get a tattoo at the current time. Tattoos are a slightly costly yet good investment. What usually determines the cost of the tattoo is A.) the size, B.) the amount of detail used, C.) sometimes location, D.) sometimes the amount of color used. Tattoos are a beautiful investment that will last a lifetime, literally. You don't want shoddy work on your body!!
16. Do you have tattoos that are in hidden places?
-This is sort of along the lines of asking if you can touch a brand new tattoo or asking if it's real. If you have a tattoo in a very intimate spot, the person asking is going to be the LAST person on Earth to find out!
17. Want to see mine?
-If it's relevant to the current conversation, such as if someone heard you got a tattoo and they ask "can we see it?" then it's good to do that. Because they are most likely curious about what you got. My coworkers on Monday heard I got a tattoo over the weekend and they asked to see it, which I happily obliged. But when others ask to see your tattoo out of the blue, it might come off very rude
18. I've always wanted a tattoo, but I don't know what I want
-This is why it's always and I mean ALWAYS a good idea to sit down and think about it for a while. Because if you're getting a tattoo, you're going to have this on your body for the rest of your life. What I've been told and discovered makes it easier to decide on what tattoo to get is think about yourself for a second. What are your interests/passions/hobbies? Who are some important people in your life that are not pointless celebrities? What is your career path? What do you want out of life? Sometimes, your interests/passions/likes/hobbies make the best ideas for tattoos. Also, if you have a favorite animal, there you go. Just sit down for a second and think it out
19. Do you want to be a tattoo artist/You should be one
-Just because someone has multiple tattoos doesn't always mean they are planning on becoming an artist. No one becomes a tattoo artist at the drop of a hat. This is a career which requires a lot of dedication and exceedingly perfect art skills. Years of practice and perfection are required to master this particular skill set
20. Are you addicted to getting tattooed?
-A lot of people seem to think that more than one tattoo is an addiction. But, a lot of artists will joke around and say "addicted" to you as a way of joking. Certainly the artists at One Shot Tattoo, where I recently got my second one, joke around with me and my sister, saying "Addicted, addicted". But I know they're joking, lol. But, back to the topic at hand. People with multiple tattoos look at it as collecting. And sometimes tattooing can be highly therapeutic to some people, especially if they are getting the name of a husband/wife, mother/father or someone very near and dear to them tattooed. To them, it's like a healing session, to say that that person will always be with them, both physically and in their hearts, in which I respond, that is the sweetest thing ever!!!

10 things that only seem "normal" to tattooed people
If you have at least one tattoo, then some of this will seem like every day nature. To those who aren't tattooed, this will seem weird. Here are some things that only seem "normal" to tattooed people.
Buy clothes to complement/show off new ink
-I mean, who doesn't want to show off that brand new ink? I know I'm itching to show mine off!
Follows more tattoo artists than celebrities on Instagram
-This is always a good thing. If you follow more tattoo artists, there's your research for your next tattoo artist right there! I know for a fact that on Facebook, I'm friends with the guy who did my tattoo
Have a seemingly inordinate amount of scent-free lotion/aftercare for when they get their next tattoo
-It's always good to stock up. This stuff becomes your friend after your tattoo, especially when it starts itching and peeling, lol. Which is a sure clear sign your tattoo is on it's way to healing!!!
-That reminds me. I need to get another bottle of lotion. Between my leg tattoo and my sister's flamingo mural tattoo, we're both sucking down the lotion, lmao!!!!
Travel long distances for one tattoo session and then travel back home
-Never done this!
You schedule tattoo appointments months to years in advance
-For some people, scheduling tattoo appointments is almost as important to them as scheduling doctor appointments. For this part, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers couldn't have said it better: The waiting is the hardest part!
Even in winter, you walk around in summer clothes to show off new ink
-I'm not that crazy yet!! It's cold out!
Get paranoid over spellcheck no matter how many times you checked it
-This is why I don't get word or phrase tattoos
Always on the lookout for the perfect 8 letter word or phrase
-I would never tattoo my hands
Wear long pants/sleeves in summer or ridiculously high SPF sunscreen just to cover tattoos from over exposure to the sun
Willing to sit for hours while someone tattoos you
-Hey, that's the price you pay for beauty...

What to do to avoid getting a crappy tattoo
When thinking about the beautiful art you'll add to your body, there are some major do's and dont's you need to keep in mind to avoid getting a crappy tattoo.
Don't rush into it
-Just because it's all the rage among your friends about the great art that they got on their skin doesn't necessarily mean you should rush out to get inked. You should really think about what you want to get before going under the needle. Most studios do not tattoo people for shallow reasons. And sometimes, if they ask what the inspiration is for the tattoo, go ahead and tell them. That's what usually makes for a good tattoo-names of important people in your life, your likes/interests, passions/hobbies, career maybe, etc. Plus, they're probably curious about the inspiration of the tattoo
Visit tattoo events
-This is the greatest thing ever. This is perfect for networking and meeting artists and seeing who can handle the type of tattoo you want to get. And also, at these events, tattoo shops will be around and at least 1-2 of the artists from those shops will be there, so you can ask away and get the answers to the questions you need
Conduct background research
-It's always good to conduct research into tattoo shops in your area. Check the Better Business Bureau site and see if they are on there. Check out review sites and see what happens. You may want to check the level of expertise for the artists there. Most reputable shops will have portfolio books out front to check out some of the tattoos that the resident artists have done and in the back, they may include their license to do tattoos, which is always a reassuring sign. Things that you will need to think about when planning a tattoo include: 1.) the area in which you want your tattoo, 2.) how much color/detail is going to be in it, 3.) the size. And as for the shop, each shop charges different fees for tattoos based on color used, size, amount of detail, etc.
Choose an artist who can help you decide
-Tattoo artists only want to help you get a good tattoo. What some people fail to realize is that the tattoo chooses you, not the other way around. Tattoos were once the mark of sailors and criminals, but nowadays, these things are as common as you and me. Do some research into tattoo artists in your area at your local shops and see what kind of work they do. See if one of them matches what you're looking to get.

This is one of those WTF stories!
Have you ever read news stories that made you think "WTF?" Here's one.
A woman named Ashley had lost her leg over the summer and had become an amputee. She was adjusting to her new life as any new amputee usually does. She had a specially designated spot at her apartment complex which was handicap friendly. After having her spot for only 2 days, a woman, who does not have a visible handicap sticker and is not handicapped, parked in her spot. She left a note saying that she found it disrespectful and that if she did it again, her car would be towed. She found another note in return, this one from the woman who parks there. It goes as follows:
"Hey Handicap,
1st never place your hands on my car again! 2nd, honey you ain't the only one with struggles. you want pity? Go to a one leg support group! You messed with the wrong one! I don't care about what your note said, shove it! But you touch my car again I will file a report, I am not playing! I let the office know the cry baby one leg touches my property. I will cause trouble . So go cry your struggles to someone who cares cause I'm walking away with both mine!!!!! -B****-"
To think that someone actually did this. The person who parked there is probably some fat chick too fat to park far away. She's probably so fat her immense weight can't carry her to the door. To think that people have to be ignorant like that. Well, hopefully karma will reward the mean a** lady who parked in the handicap spot and reward the handicapped woman with her parking spot. Sorry, things like this just royally annoy me!!!!!!

AJ Pero of Twisted Sister Dies
For all you Twisted Sister fans, just saw some seriously devastating news. Twisted Sister drummer Anthony Jude "AJ" Pero has just died. His cause of death has not been released, but it was said that he died quietly in his sleep on the tour bus
Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider released a statement that goes as follows "Today I lost a brother. Anthony Jude Pero passed away. A.J. was the final piece in a band that would become an international sensation and one of the greatest live rock acts to ever hit the stage. His sledgehammer assault on the drums helped drive TWISTED SISTER and me to greatness and inspired me to rock every single show. My heart breaks knowing I will never feel the power of his beat behind me, or turn to see his face smiling broadly from the sheer joy he got from doing what he loved. I will always remember that smile. RIP my friend"

Well, this sucks!
Have you ever actually heard yourself say "Well, this sucks!" Here are some moments that will really have you saying this out loud!
Getting a head injury will really mess up your hand-eye coordination
When your laptop eats more of your food than you do
When the weather forecasters actually get it right on predictions of freezing rain
Lemurs thinking you're a toilet
"I said only a dash of pepper, a single dash."
Talk about a costume failure
Gives new meaning to the phrase "walking on eggshells"
It's a bad sign when even your own house wants you out
"Honey, did you see the forecast for this morning? It called for snow. And did you remember to roll up the windows last night?"
When toilet paper goes faster than usual...
You know something interesting happened if your backseat looks like the scene of a murder
Taking a deep breath may not be the brightest of ideas...
Even the rain gutter wants in
When you drink more than just the drink...
"You're...not safe"
Showers aren't always for everyone
(My stepdad has this problem with our downstairs shower. He's taller than any of us!!)
Sometimes, kitchens are not for everyone...
Aww, poor duck...

This is so wrong!
Fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana made some VERY controversial comments in a magazine, calling children born through in-vitro fertilization, or IVF, "synthetic children". Elton John is now boycotting them, as he has every right to! Besides, I've seen pictures of their kids!! They are soooooo cute!!!!! I love babies sometimes!!!! :D :D
The Telegraph has stated that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana told an Italian magazine, Panorama, that they don't believe in using in-vitro fertilization, that they don't support this for creating families for gay couples. "We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offsprings and rented uterus. Life has a natural flow; there are things that should not be changed. You are born to a mother and father; or at least that's how it should be." This was the quote that Dolce said. "I call children of chemistry synthetic children."
Elton John and longtime partner David Furnish have two children conceived using IVF. He took to Instagram to vent his opinions. "How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic.’ And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF — a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children". He also added "Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again". Rock on, Elton John!
They both fired back with separate statements. Dolce said "I’m Sicilian and I grew up in a traditional family, made up of a mother, a father and children. I am very well aware of the fact that there are other types of families and they are as legitimate as the one I’ve known. But in my personal experience, family had a different configuration. That is the place where I learnt the values of love and family. This is the reality in which I grew up, but it does not imply that I don’t understand different ones. I was talking about my personal view, without judging other people’s choices and decisions." While his partner expressed this: "We firmly believe in democracy and the fundamental principle of freedom of expression that upholds it. We talked about our way of seeing reality, but it was never our intention to judge other people’s choices. We do believe in freedom and love."
Sometimes people who are unable to conceive and who wants kids use this process. And besides, how many times do you hear about in the news or read in the paper about gay/lesbian parents beating their children to death, shaking their babies to death because they wouldn't stop crying, pushing their kids down stairs, stabbing their children to death because they wouldn't stop crying, getting their kids hooked on drugs or leaving their kids in hot cars to die while they run errands? I'll tell you-0.00% of the time! Most of the time, it's young, inexperienced, STRAIGHT parents who thought having sex was cool until a surprise came along nine months later. And the teens that become parents who end up as horrible parents give a bad name to the teen parents that become good parents. There are a lot of good teen parents out there who raise their kid(s) right.

The magical hands of tattoo artists
Eventually, everyone may want to get a tattoo. Why not? If done correctly, they can be beautiful works of art that truly express our personality. If you notice me doing a few posts on tattoos, the history of this stuff is starting to fascinate me a lot. And plus, there are so many intricate, beautiful designs out there
There are some things you might need to know. Each artist has a specific talent for certain types of tattoos. Some specialize in cultural tattoos, others may specialize in black and white or portraits. So here are a few tips of helpful advice:
Chaim Machlev
-Berlin, Germany
-He's known for dots-to-lines. His black ink designs are mysterious and yet very intricate.
-His designs center around heavy metal, Gothic, industrial music. He's the go-to guy for rockers with that itch for a new tattoo. He specializes in Gothic and realistic horror pieces in grayscale
Alice Carrier
-Portland, Oregon
-Her designs are mostly based on nature. They are so amazing they look as though they could be ripped from a book
Ien Levin
-Kiev, Ukraine
-Black ink is his medium. Despite his drawings being very intricate, they have an underlying macabre feel to it, making you think at once of a horror movie with a little romance mixed in
Kenji Alucky
-Hokkaido, Japan
-Known for his dotting technique, called stippling. Like the first artist, Machlev, his designs are tribal or geometric

- Hire a professional artist
- Make sure you have an idea of what you want to get
- Be flexible. Do not come in with a rigid idea of what you want. Be flexible. If something doesn't work out, make a suggestion of something else that suits what you want

Anil Gupta

Most painful places to get tattooed
What are the most painful places to get tattooed? For those who have never been tattooed, they'll most likely say everywhere! But there are some spots on the body that are actually easy as cake to get tattooed and cause little or no pain. Then there are other spots. But the biggest thing in the world is this- it all comes down to how you handle pain. If you are not a fan of a little pain, then you may want to rethink getting inked. What I believe is that you can't have the pleasure of a tattoo without a little pain. Most tattoo parlors will talk to you through the session to keep you focused and most tattoo parlors have artists that are particularly sympathetic and kind to the first timers or "tattoo virgins" as they call them.
Easy spots
-So far, I'm getting ready to get my second tattoo. My first was on my left arm. It was a peace sign with a large daisy emerging from it. So far, I've noticed, and been told by the artists at the shop I go to, that your calves and arms are typically two of the easier spots to get tattoos
Now time for the tough spots
Hands
-The hands, fingers and knuckles are especially hard because the skin is thin and extremely boney. There are a lot of ligaments there in your hands, knuckles and fingers. So, keep this in mind when you get a tattoo, that the skin on your entire hand is thin. But, like I said and have been told, it all comes down to how you handle pain
Feet
-Typically people get tattoos on the top of their feet. Like the hands, the skin on the top of your feet tends to be thin as well. At first, it's okay. After a while, it's going to be like torture
Elbows
-This tends to be the most awkward place to tattoo. Because of your elbow bending, it makes it slightly harder for the artist to do his/her work there. And plus, you might have to turn into a contortionist to make it easy for the artist. And swelling will be massive here
Back of the knees
-Many believe this is a 12 on a scale of 1-10 in terms of pain. Like the elbow, which is covered in thin, yet elastic skin, the back of the knee is gonna hurt!
Inner Arm
-As you probably notice, a lot of the most painful places to get tattooed are going to be areas on your body that have either a lack of muscle, a lot of bone or the skin is paper thin. Some describe the pain of an inner arm tattoo as a scratching burn and shader needles are gonna set those nerves inside your inner arm jumping
Armpit
-God only knows why someone would want this! This will hurt, bottom line. Imagine razor burn, but only with a tattoo needle
Chest
-This can sometimes be painful. There is a massive percentage of bone and muscle in your chest. And it's been said that tattooing over bone is 20x more painful than over muscle.
Sternum
-For those unfamiliar with medical terms, it's the breastbone, that hard bone in the center of your chest where your ribs meet up. This may not be pleasant
Head
-Despite people's opinions of this not hurting, it may not be pleasant
Ribs
-Tattooing over bone is, like I said above, 20x more painful than over muscle. If you're planning on doing a tattoo over your ribs, breaks are a must. Because of the gaps between ribs, the skin over the ribs being paper thin, you'll need 'em!

This is too awesome!!
Paul Stanley visits a little girl in the hospital who was born with the same birth defect he suffered from.
For any fans of Kiss, if you are especially a fan of Paul Stanley, then more than likely, you may have read his 2014 memoir, Face the Music: A Life Exposed. If so, then you'll know that Paul Stanley was born with a rare birth defect called microtia, which affects the development of the ears and depending on the level of severity, also affects hearing. In his case, he was born with grade 3 unilateral microtia, meaning he was essentially born without a right ear. And 30 years later, he had reconstructive surgery to fix it. He supports a charity called AboutFace, which helps kids with facial differences and most recently, he made an extra special trip to a hospital in L.A. to visit a girl fresh from reconstructive surgery
Four year old Arabella Carter is from Canada and traveled to L.A. last week for reconstructive surgery. Stanley visited her in the hospital to see how she was doing. He is currently working with a charity called Mending Kids, which helps to raise money for kids who need reconstructive surgery for facial differences. Stanley said in a CNN interview a few years ago "I’ve had an implanted hearing aid for years now. This is a device that is usually given to children at an early age or to adults who have lost their hearing due to a medical condition. This has been an ongoing adjustment for me as my brain has never processed sound coming in from my right side."

Glenn Hughes
Glenn Hughes, we all know him as the singer for Black Sabbath during the mid to late 1980s, and as a talented bass guitarist and singer who played with Deep Purple. He also has a biography coming out for those interested
DOB: 08/01/1952
Where: Cannock, England
Trivia
-The band he got his start in was called Trapeze
-He was inspired to go into music through influences such as early British hard rock, The Beatles, American soul/R&B
-Joined Deep Purple in 1973
-He joined the band after singer Ian Gillan left and guitarist Roger Glover left. When he joined, he played bass guitar and future Whitesnake singer David Coverdale became singer
-Their 1974 album Burn reestablished them among the die hard fans of Deep Purple
-He currently lives in LA
-In 1977, he joined former Pat Travers Band guitarist Pat Thrall to form Hughes/Thrall
-One of the biggest events in Hughes life was when he began working with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi on what would become the band's 1986 Seventh Star album. It was credited as "Black Sabbath Featuring Tony Iommi"
-Both Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes have remained friends to this day
-They worked together again in 2005 to release Fused
-In 2013, he formed a band called California Breed with drummer Jason Bonham, guitarist Andrew Watt
Also had to include this. It's a cover of The Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" that Glenn did. It's definitely different than the original, but it's really good. Glenn's voice is almost bluesy on this song, making it more heartfelt and almost romantic

Some newly discovered songs
As I always say, I'm always listening to new music and songs by artists that I already listen to but haven't heard. The good thing about playing pool on Saturday nights in my basement is you can play your CDs and hear how different they sound on the stereo compared to MP3. Here are some new songs I discovered by some of my favorite artists
Judas Priest-Locked In
-The beginning of this is pretty cool. It shows the guys in the band looking through binoculars and I have to say, Glenn Tipton has nice hips and legs in this video ;) After watching it, I'm starting to think this video might be like a conclusion from the "Turbo Lover" video, because of the robots. And there's another part in the video where K.K. Downing gets Rob Halford out of this swinging contraption and he has this completely dazed look on his face and K.K. slaps him and Rob gets this look on his face that almost says "What happened?" It's sort of comical
-This song is totally awesome and now, because of me listening to it, I'm now planning on buying the album it's originally from, Turbo, which a lot of people don't like. I actually like it; a lot of good songs on it!!!!! And besides, I gotta get ready for May!! When I see The Metal Gods in action!!!
Kiss-Psycho Circus
-This one is like an LSD nightmare!! Lots of flashing lights and colors. Don't watch if you're epileptic. This is the title track from their 1998 Psycho Circus album, where all four original members-Peter Criss, Ace, Frehley, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons- played together once more. This song is really good!!!
Black Sabbath-Headless Cross
-I love this song. It has a really creepy, haunting melody to it with just a touch of awesome 1980s-era metal. The guy who sings on this album, Tony Martin, sounds EXACTLY like Ronnie James Dio. And another album that Martin sings on, 1987's The Eternal Idol, is also good; it's on my Amazon Wishlist. Love every track!!!

Disturbed-Living After Midnight
-I heard this on the radio. I thought it was Judas Priest for a second, but I recognized the voice of David Draiman, the lead singer of Disturbed. I sort of became a fan of this band after hearing their mind-blowing version of Genesis' "Land of Confusion". This version and the original by Judas Priest are both my faves!!!!!

How not to be a jerk at a tattoo parlor
We all may have been in those positions where we want a tattoo and go to a shop for the first time, unsure of what to expect. We try to be on our best behavior and sometimes it works good and other people may not act on their best behavior. And then, over time, you start befriending those artists. Here's how not to be a jerk at the tattoo shop
1. Know what you want
-Tattoo artists are not mind readers. These men and women are putting their awesome art skills to work tattooing people every second of every day. And they won't be able to figure out what you want on your body without you. Before making a consultation, think about what you want. Because once they start tattooing, they can't stop. Don't bring in a picture and expect them to copy it perfectly. Instead, bring that picture in and say that you want something inspired by it. Like for example, when I scheduled my next tattoo session, I brought in pictures of Japanese geisha, Mount Fujiyama and Japanese cherry blossom trees. I told one of the artists that I want to get something inspired by this and I am very flexible with what you can come up with.
2. Be flexible
-Don't come in with a set in stone idea of what you want. Sometimes when you suggest what you want, that artist can come up with something that may be even better than what you dreamed of. They may ask you what you are inspired by and they may contact you by email with images that they have running in their head, asking if this is something that you like. If they suggest that something can't be done, just work with them to find another solution. They only want to do one thing- give you a tattoo to be proud of
3. Don't haggle the price
-Okay, we all know that a tattoo is a somewhat pricey investment. You do not and I mean DO NOT want to haggle on the price. If you can't afford a tattoo at the current time, do not get one. Your artist is only doing their job by putting a piece of permanent art on you and you'll most likely piss off that artist by saying you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
4. Be clean/smell good/eat beforehand/don't be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
-Drugs/alcohol can affect the blood. Not to mention, most artists will not tattoo you under the influence, since those things can affect judgement. Since you'll be in close proximity to your artist for a while, it helps to make sure you smell good. But don't overdo it on the Axe or perfume. Sometimes artists may be asthmatic or allergic to certain scents and it may irritate their sinuses. Before getting a tattoo, eat something, even if it's a cookie. Having something in your stomach will help you handle the physically demanding work of sitting through a tattoo. Plus, it will keep you from feeling light headed or dizzy
5. Leave the entourage at home
-Most tattoo parlors will only allow one person to go back with you when getting a tattoo. Mostly because, depending on the size of the shop, they are working in confined spaces. If you bring multiple people, it can be both annoying and distracting to the artist
6. Tip
-Tip your artist. Sometimes when paying for your session, you can include it in the price. A relationship between a person and a tattoo artist is special; tipping them as such shows you care

My nationality of temperament...
-British. You simply don't have much of a temper to speak of. You are usually at an even-keel and have a balanced and appropriate reaction to most situations. Every once in a while you may curse someone out, but once you have that tiny bit of aggression off your chest, everything is OK again.
-The only thing British about me is my taste in music and television and occasionally movies, lol!!!
