30 Day Movie Challenge Day 22

Day 22- Fave Documentary. Sorry, but when I feel down, I listen to The Stones and instantly get cheered  up!! IDK what it is, but 4 some reason, the music of the Stones cheers me up!

Shine A Light
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shine_a_Light_(film)
This movie documents 2 shows they did at New York's Beacon Theatre during their 2006 A Bigger Bang tour. It also includes movie and news clips of interviews with the guys. This movie was filmed on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, but most of it is from the Nov. 1 show. The first scene shows everyone preparing for the show, like Keith smoking and tuning his guitar, Ronnie and probably Charlie playing pool or something, Mick giving his voice a vocal warm up, and it even shows former US president Bill Clinton and wife Hillary meeting up with the Stones, with her saying "The Stones have been waiting for you." Other musicians who played with the Stones at this show include Christina Aguilera, Jack White, Buddy Guy. Before their Oct. 29 show, their 83 year old Atlantic Records exec Ahmet Ertegun was backstage at the Rattlesnake Inn, when he tripped and fell, striking his head on the concrete floor. He died on Dec. 14, 2006.

According to keyboardist Chuck Leavell, Mick Jagger had been sick with throat problems, forcing the Stones to cancel a show they were supposed to do in Atlantic City, NJ, and it ended up moving the Oct. 31 show to Nov. 1 to allow Jagger to recuperate.

Mick and Christina performing Live With Me. That's a loaded statement for some people, lol!!
God, I wish I could switch places with her......

Noting Martin Scorsese's frequent use of Rolling Stones music in his scripted movies, Mick Jagger has joked that Shine a Light may be the only Scorsese film that does not include "Gimme Shelter" in its soundtrack.[7]
