Early Life
She is the niece of actress Vanessa Redgrave and Corin Redgrave. She is the granddaughter of actress Rachel Kempton and Sir Michael Redgrave, sister of Joely Richardson and half sister of Katharine Grimond Hess and Carlo Gabriel Nero. She attended 2 schools, the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle in South Kensington, and the St. Paul's Girl's School in Hammersmith, London.


Career
Theatre
She got her beginning in plays at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds. In 2005, she starred as Blanche DuBois in the stage production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Film
She got her film debut in the 1986 movie Gothic, where she played Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. In 1994, she starred alongside Jodie Foster in the movie Nell. That is where she met the man who would become her future husband, Liam Neeson. In 1998, she starred alongside Dennis Quaid in a remake of the movie The Parent Trap, where she played wedding dress designer Elizabeth James, The White Countess in 2005, where she played a Russian taxi dancer

Personal Life
At the home that Irish actor Liam Neeson owned in Millbrook, New York, him and Natasha married, she then got American citizenship. She is a large advocate in fighting AIDS, because her father, Tony Richardson, died of AIDS related causes. And since she was once a smoker but had quit, she is an outspoken opponent on the smoking ban in New York City bars

Injury and Death
While taking a beginner class for skiing at the Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec, she fell, sustaining a head injury. She refused medical attention after going through a lucid interval where she was just fine. The next day she was flown to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York where she died on March 18.
