1960s in Music

Did you ever notice that alot of the 1960s musicians, especially the British 60s musicians all kinda had the same haircut or same general look, like suits, sweaters, 'Beatle' boots, and that most of them probably smoked?

Swinging London
British Invasion
The Swinging Blue Jeans
-British Merseybeat band

The Rolling Stones
-London based band, called "The British Bad Boys"
-For some reason, each guy had their own little reputation. Mick was the charming womanizer and swivel hipped rock singer, Charlie was the quiet gentleman, Keith was the bad boy/party boy, Brian was the bad boy in general, and Bill was the odd man out, he did things that some might deem weird, like marrying a girl younger than him!

The Beatles
-Called "The Fab Four"

Gerry and The Pacemakers
-Considered to be the 2nd most successful band from Liverpool besides The Beatles

The Who
-According to Rolling Stone Magazine, The Beatles, The  Rolling Stones and The Who complete the trinity of British rock

The Dave Clark Five
-Were the 2nd band after The Beatles to appear on the Ed Sullivan Show

The Animals
-Formed in Newcastle upon Tyne
-Known for the deep voiced lead singer Eric Burdon

The 60s in American music
-There was a renewed interest in R&B, blues, and also psychadelic rock was becoming more popular, along with folk music, and the psychadelic music contributed to the whole drug scene.

Aretha Franklin
Bob Dylan
Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
The Beach Boys
Elvis Presley
Jefferson Airplane
