Don Kirshner's Rock Concert

-Music variety show that ran during the 1970s and early 1980s, created by Don Kirshner, who was an American song publisher and rock producer. It premiered on Sept.  27, 1973, with a performance by The Rolling Stones.

At the beginning of each show, it would start like this, showing the name of and a picture of the artist performing, and the year

History
-Had been exec. producer and creative consultant on ABC's In Concert. This featured performances from Alice Cooper, Curtis Mayfield, Seals & Crofts, Bo Diddley, The Allman Brothers, Chuck Berry, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Poco, The Steve Miller Band, Joe Walsh.

-In Sept. 1973, he left In Concert and was inspired to launch his own show, he called it Don Kirshner's Rock Concert and on the premier on Sept. 27, 1973, it was filmed in London, with the artist being none other than London's own Rolling Stones.

-The show featured other artists as well, most of them from the decade it was on. Performers included:
  -Rush
  -KISS
  -Foghat
  -Kansas
  -The Ramones
  -The Eagles
  -The Allman Brothers Band
-Rock designer Jim Evans created the special logo for the show.
