This is an awesome movie, but scary at the same time because stuff like the white slavery rings and prostitution rings can actually happen
Taken
Plot
-17 year old Kim is the daughter of Bryan Mills, an ex-CIA operative. He retired from the CIA to be nearer to his daughter in California. Kim lives with her mother Lenore and rich stepdad Stuart. One day, Kim begs her father to allow her to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. He later finds out that they will be following U2 around on their summer tour and that they will not be in one place only.
-When they arrive in Paris, they run into a stranger named Peter. Amanda lets it slip they are alone. And that's the advantage the man needs to sell the two girls to a prostitution ring. Kim has barely enough time to call her dad and let him know of the situation before they are gone. Using his CIA skills, Bryan uses the phrase "good luck" that one of them said and when he arrives in Paris, does a little investigating on his own.
-He then finds the kidnappers and tortures them for information, including sticking metal pins on one mobster's leg and hooking them up to an electrical socket so that every time the light is turned on, he gets a shock.
-So now that he's in Paris, he continues to investigate. And at one point, Bryan is at a private auction where the girls are being sold and he sees his daughter and encourages a man to "buy" her for him. As the movie gets closer to the end, it shows the girls on a small private boat being prepared for this largely obese sheik demanding his girls be sent to him. Bryan and the sheik's bodyguard fight and when he reaches the sheik's room, he holds a knife to Amanda's throat and threatens to kill her. Bryan kills him and he has finally rescued his daughter

I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!
