Jewish Stereotypes

Jewish people are often shown as being nitpicky, stingy misers.

In caricatures and cartoons, Jewish people are shown having olive skin, big lips, big hook noses, curly hair, dark eyes, and wearing kippahs. Sometimes things can be associated with the rich, cultural Jewish culture: bagels, circumcision, saying Mazel Tov, Oy Vey.

Other stereotypes include:
  • The constantly complaining, guilt inflicting mother
  • The meek, shy yet nice Jewish son
  • The materialistic, spoiled, Jewish princess daughter
  • The rabbi father
