Wow, Problems of All Sorts Are Bothering The Rolling Stones Today

Fans don't want to hear the new stuff
That's right, you read it right. Jagger admits to it that new fans don't want to hear their new songs.

Here's what Jagger has to say about it “It would be nice to have a new album, but people don’t like the new album when you play it on stage,” he told USA Today.  “They glumly look at you. ‘OK, it will be over in a minute.’ It’s not a good excuse, but it’s the truth and has to be said.”

Well, as for me, unlike other fans, I actually like their new stuff. Their singles "Doom and Gloom" and "One More Shot" are actually very good

Jagger, who, along with the band, has been working on setlists for upcoming concerts and finds it very difficult to balance both old, treasured songs and playing new stuff, pumping some new blood in to the music

“I worry a lot,” he said. “You see that post, ‘I hope they do ‘Wild Horses,” and then we do some obscure ballad, perhaps not brilliantly. Then you see, ‘It was really good, that obscure ballad, but actually I wanted them to do ‘Wild Horses.” We have so many ballads and we only do a couple in a show. I do think we’ll do one or two obscurities.” he continued

Not surprisingly, Keith Richards, being the stubborn person he is, disagrees. He's convinced that the upcoming tour will spark some creativity in the Stones camp, who have only recorded two songs since 2005, the year they released their A Bigger Bang album. Richards has this to say “The time to record a band is once they’ve been on the road a while so they’re hot,”  he continued  “We’ll think about that while we’re doing this. The world needs more Stones records. So do I.”
