One of my many favorite scary movies!!!!!!

-Donald Pleasence: Dr. Sam Loomis
-Jamie Lee Curtis: Laurie Strode
-Nancy Kyes: Annie Brackett
-P.J. Soles: Lynda van der Klok
-Charles Cyphers: Sheriff Leigh Brackett
-Kyle Richards: Lindsey Wallace
-Brian Andrews: Tommy Doyle
-John Michael Graham: Bob Simms
-Nancy Stephens: Marion Chambers
-Arthur Malet: Graveyard keeper
-Mickey Yablans: Richie
-Bret Le Paige: Lonnie Elamb
-Tony Moran: Michael Myers(age23)

-On Halloween night in 1963, police are called to 43 Lampkin Lane. When they arrive, they find Judith Myers dead from a frenzied stabbing and 6 year old Michael Myers covered in blood, wearing a clown costume and wielding a bloody knife.

-He was then institutionalized for 15 years and suddenly breaks out. When his psychiatrist, Dr. Sam Loomis, returns to Haddonfield, Illinois to warn everyone of his escape, they don't listen, until it's too late.

Did You Know?
-Because the movie was shot in spring in southern California instead of late October Illinois, the crew had to buy paper leaves and paint them to look like autumn leaves
-Jamie Lee Curtis' first movie

-The white mask used is actually a Star Trek William Shatner mask painted white, with reshaped eyeholes and the hair being teased out

-The character Laurie Strode was named after John Carpenter's first girlfriend
-Laurie Strode was supposed to be a teen in high school. Jamie Lee Curtis was actually a teen at the time

-The only blood in the movie that is seen is when Judith Myers is killed and when Michael steals clothes from a man
