-In the comic "Hellblazer", on which the movie is based, the character John Constantine was from Liverpool, and is drawn to resemble the singer Sting. In here, the character is from L.A. The reason for the change is the original nationality got no fame and as with Keanu Reeves, they got instant fame
-The look of Hell is based on photographs of old nuclear tests, specifically the sonic shockwave that disintegrates anything in its path, thus the crumbling landscape
-The tattoo on Constantine's arm is an alchemic symbol of the Red King, meant for protection. It's the "fire triangle with 3 radiating arrows below representing 'the Perfect King', 'The Sulphur of the Philosophers'
-The "Holy Hand Grenades" were actually just Christmas ornaments with water in them
-The Nazi flag used to wrap the Spear of Destiny was destroyed after shooting to prevent it from falling into the hands of Neo-Nazis
