Over the last few years, the Stones have released a raging torrent of various types of merchandise bearing the ever-famous 'Forty Licks' image. But that does not mean that they will happily agree to anything related to their long history. Their former financial manager, Prince Rupert Loewenstein, plans on releasing a book about his former employment with "The British Bad Boys"
The book, titled "A Prince Among Stones: The Business with The Rolling Stones and Other Adventures" is due out March 6. It tells the story of how he became the financial manager to one of the biggest names in rock music. He also mentions how he basically played the roles of nanny, psychiatrist and manager to them and their various crises
Jagger seems to have other things to say about it. “Call me old fashioned, but I don’t think your ex-bank manager should be discussing your financial dealings and personal information in public,” he told the U.K.’s Daily Mail in a recent interview. “It just goes to show that well-brought-up people don’t always display good manners.”
But Loewenstein does note that, after meeting Mick for the first time “After the first two or three business meetings with Mick, I realized there was something exceptional in his makeup”; of Keith Richards, he adds, “I saw that Keith was — and I hesitate to say this — the most intelligent mind of the band.”
I'm a girl born in the wrong decade. I belong in the 1960s or the 1970s in my opinion. I bleed tie dye, my theme music is anything 1960s rock or 1970s rock or metal. I'm a hippie through and through. But also a hippie who loves old metal music. I believe that violence never solves anything, so why resort to it to solve problems? With all the wars the world has seen, there should be a clue somewhere in there!
